I opened the storage unit with the best of intentions, and Rich and Kelli, were more than happy to accommodate all of my needs. Family problems and health issues arose and I found myself falling behind in my payments from month to month. They would call me to let me know that my payment was due, or that a late fee was being applied. They would just leave one message, not bombard me will calls. I feel they have gone out of their way to keep me a happy customer, despite my last few months of being behind in payments...and let's face it...in this day and age we need others to understand us and work with us in these tough times, most of all the people we do business with on a regular basis. Some folks aren't "people persons" and have no business being in retail sales. We see them all day long...you walk into a store and they are chatting it up or texting it up...and they make you feel like YOU are inconveniencing THEM because you interrupted their text or conversation. I find Richard and Kelli both very much down to earth and they do their job with retail savvy. I speak with them as friends and they know that I care about what I have in storage but also the reasons why I had fallen behind in my payments. Besides that, the hours of access are great and none of my valuables like music equipment, antique china, glassware and artwork were affected by the winter in my climate controlled unit. I am very happy to have them holding my personals and super pleased with their understanding of my personal situation which in almost all places would have made me a less than desirable customer. It didn't go as well with my landlord, insurance company, phone or utilities....thats why they get 5 stars. Stop in and see Kelli or Richard if you have storage needs...I'm sure they will take care of you as well as they...

For me, especially in these stressful times, dealing with a business remotely it is ALL ABOUT SERVICE!. Extra Space Storage is a top notch facility. A friend is hospitalized long term, losing their apartment, must remove all their belongings within 2 weeks. Has no one living nearby. I live 2 hours away. The details were arranged before my call by my friend through a gentleman named Rick. Great job Rick! I called to finalize the process with payment, and dealt with a totally professional, efficient, and caring woman named Kelly. Kelli is what most companies look for (Hey management give this Lady some Kudos!!) and rarely find. A service person that adds the smile in their voice. There was no, "sighs and ugh another caller" inflections in her voice. Yes, we've all heard that before! No, "Call back when you have all the required data for a lease" I didn't have their ID a problem to arrange the details. She figured it out, actually said, "no problem get me the info and call me right back, and we can finish this up" Kelli, what you did today may have appeared like just another day to you. Renting out spaces, keeping owners property safe etc. What you actually did was relieve the anxiety of another human being, who's life is in turmoil. Your kindness gave them peace of mind. In fact when I called him and told him how kind and efficient you were he got a little "damn someone's cutting onions" if ya know what I mean. Thank you thank you Ya dida good Thing...
Read moreHad to update my review due to the fact that they raised my unit price from $58 to $82…..NOT cool at all, I have the smallest unit a 5x5 and I did not get phone call or text from them (like they usually do for payments or updated info) but instead an email with a whole new contract that states it doesn’t start until July 1st yet it’s not even July yet and my price has been raised??? In the past 4 months I’ve paid about $360 (I had to pay around $100 for the first time payment) and now they raised it to almost $100 a month….that extra $24 does a lot more than you think and it’s not cool that they just changed out of nowhere 3 months later. And I see that I’m not the only one they’ve done this too….it seems like this is something they do to anyone who buys their units online through their website. Don’t get me wrong they’re still the cheapest option around here, but what they did and are doing “due to COVID” is not right. I have COVID right now and I’m not using that as an excuse to not pay for my unit this month even though I can’t work and I’m not making any money……COVID has been around for almost 3 years now, so personally I don’t think that is a good excuse to use anymore.
