I have been a delighted and extremely satisfied client of Tru Salon for close to a decade. The salon compares with the top NYC salons in terms of both the ambience and the welcoming attitude of everyone from the receptionists to the hair professionals. Brian, the owner and a truly gifted hair stylist creates a gracious tone and personable tone. Michelle is an extremely skilled, kind, charming and gifted colorist, who always has a flair for beautifully and adeptly-colored hair that correctly highlights my best features. She also has a warm, engaging attitude and a lovely sense of humor. Gloria is incredibly talented, sweet, interesting, sincere and excellent hair stylist who creates the "right" cut, correctly proportioned to my face and style. I wish I could give this place zero stars. My family has come to Tru Salon for multiple haircuts and have had ZERO consistency with the first cut being okay to the next being totally unacceptable. The cuts are uneven and when asking for 3-4 inches trimmed, the hairdressers cut 8-10 inches. I went in for a haircut last summer and not only did she cut double of what she was supposed to, it was essentially a blunt cut when I asked for layers. My younger sister went in and received an extremely uneven haircut. Recently, my other sister went in for a haircut and asked for a 4 inch trim and when she came home about 8 inches had been cut off and she was extremely upset. The salon claimed that her original haircut was uneven but the icing on that cake is that her last haircut was at Tru Salon. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone as they give bad haircuts, do not listen to you, and do not own up to...

I had an incredible experience at Tru Salon, and I can’t say enough good things about stylist Brian! From the moment I walk in, I am always greeted with warmth and professionalism. Brian took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and offered valuable suggestions based on my hair type and face shape.

The result was simply amazing! Brian’s skill and expertise were evident in every snip and styling technique. I left the salon feeling like a million bucks, and my hair has never looked better. The attention to detail and precision in the cut and color were outstanding.

Not only is Brian a talented stylist, but he’s also friendly and easy to talk to. The entire salon atmosphere was relaxing and inviting, making it a truly enjoyable experience.
