Seaqua Deli and Caterers of St. James — Restaurant in Town of Smithtown

I have been going to Sequa for years. I dont't go every day, perhaps twice a month for breakfast, a couple of times a month for lunch and we have catered from there a few times. Always take out orders. Have always been happy with the food and the staff couldn't be nicer. Over the last 2 months, however my breakfast sandwich has been missing something (once cheese, once bacon and once no meat at all on a bacon sausage and cheese on a roll). The first time it happened, I just figured it was an honest mistake. Things happen and after all these years without a mistake, how could I complain. The second time i figured it was just bad luck. This has happened 3 out of the last 4 things I have ordered from there. I like the food there when i get what I order but lately it seems that there is a problem in the kitchen with accuracy. Hopefully they can turn it around, when they are careful and get the order right it is a great deli. I will give it another try but there are other delis near by that i might have to try if they can't get my order right.

Update: tried Sequa again this morning. Ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches. 2 were incorrect. A shame because the people there are so nice, just cant get my order correct. Going to Ninnos from now on....

Seaqua Deli of St. James is like the sitcom Cheers! The awesome employee's remember their customers names as well as what they like to eat!!!! This makes their customers feel like they're special, like they're home! I've never seen such a fine, well ran deli in my 59 years!!!! Larry the owner is so accomadating and a great guy! He's always got this welcoming big, handsome smile for everyone! He treats his employee's like family. Meredith the manager has an Incredible warmth, and professionalism that makes everyone feel so special. She has this great big heart and everyone can feel it. Hector the assistant manager is brilliant, he can solve any issue and remembers everything with a smile. Liz, David, Pablo, and Davido, all the front line cooks are so professional, fast, and the food is the best I've ever tasted and I can cook! Let's not forget Dee who knows the menu in and out! Can't forget to mention Sam, Alexa, Suzanna, Naz, Sabastian and of course the cooks in the back that you never get to see. Seaqua Deli of St. James is the best place to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner! A home away from home!!! I will miss all of you dearly....

Seaqua Rocks!!

It starts with the smiling & cheerful greeting I always receive from Joanne or Meredith’s warm, upbeat & positive personality – where would I be without my Seaqua.

The entire crew (sorry guys, I don’t know all your names but I know your faces) are wonderful and always eager to assist Sometimes I call in my order ahead of time (as I’m on the fly and it’s just easier) or if time permits - place my order in person - - - they never disappoint.

From a simple hero sandwich request with a smidge of the mayo (and they understand how much a “smidge” is) or my very specific scrambled egg sandwich (well done dry eggs, one full egg w/one egg white) – they always deliver.

Regardless of the time of day – if I happen to be passing by and in the mood for a quick bite -- Seaqua is always there for...
