Title: California Called… It Wants These Bagels Airlifted Back
I came. I saw. I bagel’d.
Visiting from California where bagels are often just sad, chewy bread circles pretending to be something they’re not. Then I met St. James Bagel. And my carb-loving soul ascended.
I ordered not one, but TWO bagels because self-control left the building the moment I walked in. • Egg Everything toasted with cream cheese: So good it whispered sweet nothings to me. • Classic Everything toasted with cream cheese: Basically the bagel equivalent of a mic drop.
Both were perfectly toasted, with that magical combo of crispy outside and chewy inside, like they were handcrafted by a team of angelic New Yorkers in the back.
By the time I finished, I considered proposing marriage to the staff, or at least asking if they offer long-distance delivery to California. Spoiler alert: they don’t. And now I live in a world where my local bagels are just… bread circles with imposter syndrome.
Do yourself a favor. Go. Order two....

It is more important then ever to take precaution and be as clean as possible when preparing other people’s food. This shows that the severity of spreading this disease is not being taken seriously by this...

Food is delicious and generously sized.
Service is friendly and they listen to how you like your order (lightly toasted or a little butter or a lot of mayo or whatever your thing is).
I drive up from Selden if I'm having a bad day and their BLT on a bagel fixes everything. I take it on a toasted everything and get the cucumber salad as my side. The rest of the day the Sun shines brighter and my colleagues seem nicer. And the bagels and bacon portion are large enough to save half for dinner if I'm...
