Had Kelly as a cashier this morning and she was absolutely rude! I am an instacart shopper and was shopping for three orders which I had separated by each. When I told her I had three instacart orders she stated “if they are separated good enough I’ll ring them separately.” I noticed how fast she was scanning and she started to push all the groceries together mixing up all orders. I quickly asked if she could put each order in a specific part of the cart (which other cashiers have been kind enough to do). She blamed me saying “Well you’re the one who has 1 cart of three orders (I’m one person how would I be able to manage three carts, plus a together it was only 50 items). I tried to grab another cart so she would stop mixing things up and she said “no, one cart per person”. She continued scanning and throwing items on the floor, denting cans. When I asked her to stop throwing my items on the floor, she then continued to mix everything together. I told her she didn’t have to be so rude. She stated “do you want to talk to a manager and when I said yes she said well I am one.” Fine example to set for other employees of what customer service standards should look like. I grabbed my groceries and began to sort telling her she didn’t have to be so rude. Most likely embarrassed by her behavior she was far nicer to the customers behind me. Not sure how I got so lucky to see the rude side of Kelly but it’s enough to make me not want to go back. If she was overwhelmed by the amount in people in line she should’ve called for help but once did she or did she apologize she being rude and mixing up my orders. Never had an experience at Aldi in Brockport that so awful. I get she’s trying to do a job and it was busy but so am I trying to do my job as an instacart shopper. Do...
Read moreI LOVE LOVE LOVE Aldi's however for the first time yesterday had the worst experience ever at this location, after being a regular here for 8 years. First, management needs to be replaced. We had the manager Kelly as a cashier. She came out appearing irritated she had to be a cashier as the store lines were very long and they only had one person for checkout. We were in line unloading as fast as possible, putting a large box on the conveyor with items in it. As soon as the box got to her, she picked it up and flipped it over tossing everything in it. Mind you, there were bread, bagels, chips, cherry tomatoes, and other items that were easily squished. Some of these items were also thrown on my daughter as she was trying to put other items on the conveyor for check out. I asked Kelly if she cared she just smashed half of the items I was purchasing. Her response "I can't scan items in a box " my ten year old took several items off and put them back on the shelves because they were damaged and squished. A simple request in a kind manner asking me next time to unload the boxes would have been sufficient. I really hope they find new management with people skills. Everyone else there is...
Read moreIt took me a while to realize what a good place this is to shop for groceries. The store is small compared to Wegman's or Walmart, and they don't have everything--no pharmacy and no beer or other alcoholic beverages for example, but you'll find things there others don't have. I particularly enjoy their "Deutche Kuchen" line of frozen entrees and deserts, and their canned soups are good. You may also find surprises like a dog's bed or mini greenhouse. Prices on staples like milk, eggs, and fresh vegetables can be as much as 20% less than Wegman's. They cut frills to make it possible. They don't have to hire people to ride herd on shopping carts for example; you slip a quarter into a cart to release it, and get it back on return. The store is clean, the merchandise is of good quality, and the staff is courteous and helpful. You can...
