I've been here a few times now. What I like about the Delaware is that the menu here is pretty diverse. There is something to meet everyone's food desires. Most recently I went for a late lunch with my husband and in-laws (who have never been there before) and we all enjoyed it. I am only giving 4* because I do notice the food takes forever to come out - even soups take like 20 mins - and because it is ice cold freezing inside. Not the greatest option when you're in a rush during your lunch break. Definitely a better option when you have time on your hands. Two things to note: One, the lemon-parsley pesto option for grain bowls is way too oily and not lemony or parsley-ish enough somehow. I had to ask for fresh lemon. Would not recommend that option. Two, the French onion soup is GREAT. It's not overly oniony or bready and it's not underseasoned or watery. This will probably be my go-to place for French onion soup now.

We absolutely love The Delaware. We've never been disappointed in the food. Last night we ate under the tent. It's the first time we've been to a restaurant in three months because of the quarantine. The food was great! However, after ordering a beer, the waitress brought it to me in a plastic cup. It looked small and I even said so to the waitress. She assured me that although it looked small, it was actually 16oz. However, below the rim of the cup, it was marked 0.35L. I Googled it and it converts to 11.8oz. That's less than a can (12oz) of beer. That's $6.50 for less than a can. To her credit, I mentioned this to the waitress and she offered to bring me some more to which I declined. We saw some friends dining there as well and they had ordered multiple glasses of beer. I wonder what they'll say when they find out the shortage. We'll be back, but not for drinks.

I grew up in this neighborhood as a child, this restaurant used to be a carvel ice cream shop which kinda brought me back. We were looking for somewhere to have a drink and some app’s. We entered the bar area to be greeted very cheerfully by Jamie our bartender. What an amazing personality, she was helpful with every question we had. We had a couple of Mules and some pretzel bites. Amy the other bartender also checked in on us a few times. We were very impressed with the decor and location. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Jamie for being an amazing bartender! You have an amazing employee!

Happy to have tried The Delaware again; much improved since my last visit several years ago. While the wait time is still on the long side, it is GREATLY reduced since they've incorporated a reservation system. The food was always good, but the menu has expanded (elated to see they still have the asparagus fries, & was pleasantly surprised to see Deviled eggs...an unexpected menu item, & well worth getting) to include some eclectic takes on classic dishes. They weren't afraid to serve my steak rare, which I very much appreciate, as many places serve what I call a "nervous rare." Not so here, perfectly done, with a gorgonzola cashew butter that accented the steak terrifically. The place is always packed, & the wait staff handles it great; despite being absolutely bombarded, our waitress kept the water glasses & coffee mugs topped, we were want for nothing. It is an "industrial chic" atmosphere, with more tables than the space permits, & it is LOUD. Take this into consideration if people in the party are hard of hearing. It is LOUD. I'm glad I gave it another chance, because I've always enjoyed the food, & they've really grown into themselves in very good ways. Next time I'm going to try to go during a less busy time, though...they really...

Went there last night with a party of 8, the staff was friendly. However the food was absolutely awful. We've been here several times over the years and have always liked it hence why we came back.

The caprese wedge salad for 12.95 came with hard sliced pieces of Mozzarella like from the block you get at the store, next to no dressing or seasoning, no basil and awful tomatoes.

The meatloaf was wrapped in raw Bacon was super dense and had no flavor and slightly cold.

The gorgonzola chicken came out cold, with a weird brown moose??? Had no flavor only sour notes? The beans were good but the mashed potatoes were super dense and had no flavor at all, just like someone boiled potatoes and kind of mashed them up.

Someone got the Salmon dish and instead of Asparagus there where 5 pickle slices place around the plate??? And w.e rice or grain it was supposed to come on was awful.

The kids grilled cheese was rock hard, and cold...the chicken fingers where good.

For close to $300 with tip we should of gone somewhere else. I'm not sure.if there are new cooks in the kitchen or people who can't read recipes but this was just awful and almost...

I don't ever leave bad reviews, but I must for anyone considering to go to this place. Hiring the talented musician was about the only thing The Delaware did right tonight. The entire staff looked hurried and discombobulated, especially our waitress, who checked in only every 25 minutes with my date and I. We would have ordered several more drinks and (Valentines!!) dessert if our waitress merely asked. She prematurely dropped off the over-priced bill at the end of the loong night without even asking if we'd like to see the dessert menu, or if we'd like any other drinks (only 2 rounds were offered to us over the span of 2 hours), she didn't ever check in to ask how everything was, she didn't even say have a nice night at tje end. Weird. We were very kind and patient with her the entire night too, understanding it was very busy. But our food came out an HOUR after ordering, cold, flavorless, and missed the one modification we asked for...and then charged us anyway for it! Yikes. I even had to reccomend putting out a tip jar for the hard-working musician because they failed to do even that. Don't waste...
