I am very disappointed with my entire experience with the Raymour & Flannigan outlet store in Johnson City.. I was planning on making an online mattress purchase, but I wanted to try the mattresses I was interested in before I placed the order. Once I decided on the mattress, the sales associate wouldn't accept my plans of ordering online and talked me into buying it then. He talked me into a $300 adjustable(which i didnt need/want) and a very expensive mattress cover. Then he told me u would have to wait 6 days for delivery, but he'll take $150 off the price of the mattress. I told him I would let him know. That night I was watching TV and I saw a commercial saying guaranteed 3 day delivery, and a mattress deal that if I spent over $899(it was $1300), then I could get a free base. Hmmm The next day I called the rep & stated I found a truck & would like to pick the mattress up that day. He told me he would call the warehouse and call me right back. 2 hrs went by and no return call, so I called the outlet store closer to where I wanted to pick it up & the girl I spoke with was wonderful. She transferred my order, modified it, and I had the mattress home.(that was last Monday. Tuesday I called the Scranton store back questioning the commercial about the free base(I had cancelled my order of a base because I thought $300 was too much to spend) After telling the story 3 times, the manager told me that after looking at my account, I was eligible for the special, but I needed to talk to the manager at the Johnson City outlet. When I finially got that manager on the line, he proceeded to tell me the special was in affect only for queen size, and beings I only got full, I could get 50%off a full size base-- but a full size base was $600!!! I got sooo angry i just hung up on him! So we have a salesman who doesn't follow thru and return phone calls to the store manager that promotes FALSE ADVERTISING!!! OVER TWICE THE AMT OF DAYS FOR DELIVERY, THEN ACTING LIKE HE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR A FLAT BASE!!! Only reason I haven't returned it is I love my Beauty rest and I have credit there. I went to the clearance center on Tuesday 3/18/25 and was told that the furniture would be delivered on Sunday 3/23/25. It never came because apparently the truck broke down. Let's be real stop offering Sunday deliveries if it can't be delivered. This is the second time I ordered furniture and wasn't delivered on time. The delivery fee was waived but it was stressful when it shouldn't be. I spent a lot of money on furniture and a bed within the last 12 months and I expect better delivery service than what I have gotten not just once but twice. I made it clear if the furniture was delivered on Monday 3/24/25 that I didn't want it. The furniture was delivered on Monday 3/24/25. Buyer beware on the delivery service because you are guaranteed a delivery day to be off work. You shouldn't have to take more days off because furniture cannot be delivered on time from Syracuse to Binghamton.

The quality is reflected in the price but we knew what we were getting. Unfortunately, both times we purchased furniture here we found the sales staff to not be very knowledgeable about their offerings. Some quick Google searching and we were able to find answers we needed, but we expected more from sales staff.
We likely wonât shop at this particular outlet again. When buying a mattress, in addition to not being able to answer my questions about the materials and construction of the different options, the one we wanted was out of stock, and when I asked if he could check if they had it at the other location across the street, he said they didnât carry it. We proceeded to buy a different mattress that will likely be fine, but just to check, we stopped at the other store. They had the mattress there. Our salesman had lied to us.
