I have always had a pleasant experience when going to staples in vestal ny. But today has made me never want to return again. So I came in to make a amazon return (and although I don't work there I know it's can be overwhelming with all the returns). I appreciate the counter and I had 5 items that needed to be returned. All the items was under one QR code. (From previous returns i know all items have to have its own sticker saying it was returned) so when I noticed the young man only putting a sticker on two of the items and throwing the rest in a bag i questioned it and he said no that's how it's done. I get to the car and see amazon has only refunded two of the 5 items. I go back in the store and show the young man and explain to him again. He apologize and walk away to retrieve Me frustrated said man had he only took the time to listen to me (not loud for hi. To hear it but the other worker next to.me did) and he said no had you come to the counter prepaid.(wait until you find out who it was) And the young man that was helping me returned and said no she did. And I responded with and see this is why you should mind your business. The coworker then said it is my business I'm the MANAGER and you can get out my store and can call amazon to have it fixed. I told him I was not leaving without it being fixed because now I have no proof that it was returned because I was told ups pick it up within the few minutes of me leaving the store. I asked for his name and corporate number and he refused to give me any information instead he called the police on me. (When the police got there she was very confused because this was so silly) the young man that's was helping me apologized way to many times...
Read moreBought a La-Z-Boy office chair in 2021 and also purchased the extended warranty. The chair is used on a daily basis. Just last week the up & down mechanism failed and we filed a warranty claim online with asurion. The claim was processed in a timely manner with asurion, a 3rd party company. We received our e-gift card via email so that we could order a new chair in store or online. I called the Vestal store to see if they had any in stock and they did. I spoke with store manager, Anthony, who was very understanding and accommodating. I brought a copy of the original receipt and the eGift card that I was issed. Upon arrival, Anthony took very good care of me and personally processed the transaction. When I explained to him that the original chair purchased in 11/2021 was "price matched" and with a copy of the original receipt to prove it, he very kindly (he didn't have to) offered the same adjustment. I have purchased many chairs and other office supplies from this store and they are always so helpful and well organized. As a small business owner, it is reassuring to know that a big box store like Staples and the people that represent Staples care about their customers. We are very happy and will be returning for future...
Read moreI ordered a filing cabinet online and it arrived damaged. Immediately called the local store to see if I could arrange for an exchange. To make it convenient for me, the store rep asked me to return it to the store and assured me that they have them in stock and I could exchange with another one. When I walked into the store, the store manager was very rude with the whole transaction. She did not offer help to bring the cabinet inside. It takes two people to carry it. And she denied the availability of the similar ones in stock. When I mentioned that I already confirmed availability with the rep during my phone call - she said , “ I don’t know who you talked to - we are a brick and mortar store, there is not much help here” ( I am giving the exact words- as I was really upset with the way she talked.
