Hate leaving a negative review but the new cart situation is aggravating. They've put poles on all the carts so you can't take them out of the store. As a mother and a michaels fan this has created problems for us going to the store. I have a toddler that likes to roam and also get into things. The cart helps keep them in place so I can get some shopping done. The cart is also useful for holding things. Now I can't make any decent sized purchases at the store or I have to make arrangements so I can come back on my own. It's really inconvenient and kind of a big middle finger to the moms that shop at michaels (and theres a lot of us .. ive seen other people struggling too). They don't let you take the cart to your car and they don't even supply bags. It honestly comes off lazy and cheap. I'm not sure if it's because they're too lazy to go and get carts from outside or if carts were getting stolen but I'd be willing to bring a cart in with me to help out or even put a quarter in the cart like they do at Aldi. Michaels needs to work on this. Hobby lobby doesn't hassle people like that. The prices are high so you think youre getting a deal when they mark things 40% off... but that seems to be the way all the stores are now. They drag out holiday sales to eek out every possible cent they can from even the most generic boring items which is also frustrating and annoying. Otherwise, the store is ok.. the employees are very pleasant etc. The online pickup leaves more to be desired but thats every michaels. The cart situation really...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLast week I spent $430 on a Cricut Maker 4 from Michael's online for pickup at the Dunning Road store. After I'd picked it up - from a Michael's employee with a ticket taped to it with my name on it - unboxed it, and set it up I realized that the store had given me a Cricut Explore 4 which is $250, $150 less than the machine I'd paid for. I had not used it, nor any of the materials with which it had come but I had already recycled the box. When I brought it back to the store I was berated by one of the managers and told by her that there was nothing they could do for me because I didn't have the original box. When she got the store manager he told me they'd have to throw away the machine they'd given me and that that was my fault. He got me the Cricut I'd paid for and threw it at me before stomping away in a fit. They were so horrible I went to the car and cried. I wasn't the one who tried to hustle me out of $150 for a machine that won't do what I need it to. No one apologized. On the contrary they were aggressive and rude. I'm writing to Cricut to complain about trusting Michael's to sell their products and I am hoping I can find another store to shop for my copious amounts of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe in store pick up is a joke. I recently used my Michaelās rewards money to order 2 tees and a sweat shirt. I got to the store to find out they ādidnāt haveā the sweat shirt in stock. The young woman explained that it wasnāt in stock and that I should be refunded and she apologized cause their inventory is not always up to date. I understood but decided to see if they had other colors in stock of the missing item. Low and behold very quickly I found the item that I was told was out of stock. I approached the sales girl and explained that they indeed did have it. She then informed me I needed to Purchas the item again since my refund was not fully processed yet nor could she just give it to me. She then offered to hide the item for me for when I could come back and purchase it. Frustrated I just walked out and will go to...
