We walked in to an empty store and were met with a very strong odor of marijuana and an older couple behind the counter. They were friendly, but the woman who worked with us seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. She kept showing me the exact opposite of what I said I was looking for, and got noticibly annoyed when I didn't like what she was pulling from the case. The man recognized this and he came to take over and was more helpful, however all their styles seem old-fashioned and not very nice. There was one similar to something I tried on elsewhere, but this one had much smaller stones and was clearly a lesser quality, but just to get an idea for their pricing I asked how much it would be. It was more than DOUBLE in price, (in fact more than double from all nicer rings at 3 other places we shopped at later that day). When I told him about the other I had looked at he became extremely rude/insulting so we got up and left. The woman said, "ok I think have a ring for you". I tried on the ring she picked and liked it. I wore it for a few minutes and was debating buying it. After a few more minutes I asked her how much the ring was. She then told me it was about $2,200. !!!! I was stunned and rudely said, "WHY WOULD YOU SHOW ME THAT RING"??? The ring was my Mother's who recently and unexpectedly passed this year. We went to Whittmeyer with same ring directly after this rude jerk's comments, and they were absolutely sweet about it. The Appraiser even said we could probably make 100-200 in a private sale despite it not being worth his time.
You don't have a right to treat a polite customer rudely just because their ring wasn't what you were expecting. It's not our fault your business is failing and you need money that desperately.
Absolutely horrendous and abyssmal customer service.
