I am a huge fan of moncler, and have always shopped directly at their retail stores. Today, my husband, myself and a very good friend of ours to take a day trip to the Woodbury commons outlet Moncler. NEVER shop at this location. To begin, waiting on a thirty minute line, with little to no people in the store was not only ridiculous but inconvenient since it was fairly cold. That wasn't really the issue. The issue began once we walked into the store. As we were already beginning our shopping experience the guard at the door called us back and insisted we leave our bags at the door. Now, that isn't such a big deal, the big deal is that previous to us entering, several other Asian, and white people walked in and they were not instructed or demanded to leave their bags at the door. As I did not want to cause a scene, my group and I decided to comply. What struck me was the attitude of the guard. I am a 52 year old professional of European background, my husband of latin origins and our friend is a professional black male. None of us need to steal anything. Not only had we shopped at other high end stores that afternoon (ysl, Alexander McQueen, Versace, Gucci, frette, sferra, and several others). We had many bags. No one before us was asked to leave their bags at the front and I quickly pointed that out as the Asian and white people that went in before us were all walking around with shopping bags. Then the doors were locked behind us! Like are you kidding me???? Are we criminals???? Isn’t locking a door in a retail setting during business hours illegal???? I decided to go to the stores manager. Although she was apologetic, she did begin by saying that it's the discretion... to which I immediately stopped her and said "if you are going to say it's the discretion of the guards to pick and choose who has to leave their bags, you are profiling"! She immediately changed her course and said it's not mandatory to leave one's bags. Yet, our group was made to leave our bags. She a middle aged, blond woman with black framed glasses and a bit on the ruebenesque side came from behind the counter and tried to placate me. She said she can assure me that that is not how she runs her store, and tried to get me to shop. I told her to not tell me to calm down and I would most definitely not be shopping at her store. Yet her team was not addressed and the guard in question found it comical! Point of this rant is, first and foremost, never judge a book by its covers (I was wearing Moncler). Two, if you are going to have rules in place, those rules should be for everyone! and lastly, you are minimum wage workers and have literally, in your ignorance and rudeness ruined your company's reputation. Although this is an isolated experience for me with any high end brand, i am forced to read between the lines and address the “white elephant” in the situation! Is this what people mean by racial profiling? Is this the 21st century or the 1950’s? How does a company allow situations like this to happen and not address it immediately? MONCLER! You need to do better to keep your brand relevant and not become part of the cancelled brands that have been criticized for being politically incorrect. You have a responsibility to your client base to maintain your level of excellence and luxury and not allow your staff to tarnish your reputation. I hope that at the very least someone from Moncler corporate reads this and changes...

The line was ridiculously long. People were able to cut or go in ahead of everyone which was weird. People were standing in the line just because they saw others do it. Pro tip come early like 12ish and go in the spring summer and fall when weather is good. Weird interactions with shoppers lots of pushy behavior, entitlement and negativity which I ignored. Security only let 2 people at a time which is good for the shopping experience. Less people inside make a good customer to sales associate ratio.

Most of the staff were busy, standoffish or in their own world other than Mo. She came straight to us and took her time helping both my husband and I pick out coats. She took 40 minutes to a hour asking us questions on what we liked. Sizing is limited but we made it work. I’m bigger so I was surprised Mo took the time and an interest in finding me something nice. A Moncler Grenoble Chamoille in a size 4! It looked so much like the old Hudson which I always adored. The only 1 in the back.

The prices were good. My husband’s wasn’t the best price but mine was a steal. A little annoyed most of the fabrics aren’t natural or organic, real fur, but faux and polyester for the prices they shouldn’t be. No garment bag was included for both items which shocked and disappointed me because it should come with the coats for the price. The design is excellent and so is the shape style stitching and fit. My husband said the were light but extremely warm. We bought a coat for myself and my...

Terrible service and terrible line. I did not like how the sale talked to my husband and my family. The chinese male sale did not know what he was doing at all. He took at least 20 minutes at the cashier to check us out because he did not know how to use the computer. The tone he talked to me and my husband was mean, it was like “you can definitely not fit in this size”. This made us feel body image discrimination and disrespectful. This sale forgot to take the security tag off of my husband’s jacket and we had to go to another monclear to take off. When he made my profile, even though i wrote down my name for him, he still put my name wrong as a name that cannot even be pronounced-chra. I did not find out until I checked my profile when I went to another moncler. The line was also terrible: there was barely anyone in the store but they left us outside in a windy winter temperature. Overall, the service...

I went to Woodbury Commons, Monroe NY and joined the line at 12pm for the Moncler line. The line consisted of over 60 people, and the store was letting people in 2 at a time, every 30minutes. Moncler representatives are careless in managing the line. Many people with small children were exiting the store, the Moncler staff fail to maintain a flow of having people enter the store, which discriminates against parents with little children and the disabled, whom had no where to sit, for such a long period of time. I am asking that corporate oversees this matter and fix this situation so it doesn't happen again.

Highly recommend arriving closer to the time the store opens so the wait in line is either nonexistent or short. I only had to wait about 10-15 or so minutes around 11am on a holiday weekend and it was 100% worth it! They had a fairly good inventory and I was able to snag a unicorn of a jacket that the staff were so surprised to see in stock (there was only 1 and it fit perfectly!). And at a very good discount to make the trip north from NYC very much worth it :) Gary helped me make my selection and was super kind and patient throughout the process!! Thank you Gary for the wonderful experience!!
