My first and last time ever doing business with Music & Arts.
I went in looking for a mic stand and an in-hole pickup for an acoustic guitar for a gig later that night.
As soon as I walked in and before I even said anything the sales clerk was clearly annoyed that I was there even though I was the only customer in the store.
After asking me specifics about the kind of mic stand I needed, he told me they had no mic stands in stock (NONE - not just the kind I was looking for) which begs the question why he didn't say that up front?
They DID have an in-hole pickup in the display case clearly marked as 45.99. When I asked for it he said "hold on, that's not the right price." He then looked it up in the computer and it came up as $59.00. I asked if they had any others in stock and he simply said "no"
When I asked why it was mis-labeled,he said it was an old tag. When I asked why they would knowingly mislabeled. he said nothing. When I asked if they would honor the clearly labeled price he simply said "no". At best this is incompetence. At worst, its an intentional bait and switch, which is illegal in the state of new york.
I was going to ask about instrument repair but after this experience I see no reason why I should ever set foot in there again.
Also I called the number on reciept which said to call if the in store experience was "less than awesome". I took me to an off shore call center who told me they do not handle customer complaints. They told me to contact the Regional Manager but did not know how I would do so and did not make any effort...
Read moreI had the worst headache đ€ dealing with this music store. The instrument đ· was returned to the school as agreed, and the store manager, Nathan Yeager, was informed of the return. The store was supposed to pick up the item from the school, but they didnât do so until a month later. Meanwhile, my credit card was charged. I contacted the manager at the Monroe, NY, store multiple times, and although he kept saying he would resolve the issue and call me back, he never followed through. Every time I called, I got a different excuse and still no refund. When I finally called the main office, the customer representative blamed me for not returning the item on time. Very disappointing experience.
Read moreWe called at 7:55pm to see if they had a book for NYSMAA. They did and we were 3 minutes away. The lady said we close at 8. We got behind a bus so we got there at 8:02pm. My 13 year old daughter ran out to purchase book doors were locked but a lady let her in. While watching from the van it looked like the lady was not being so nice. So I got out and went to the door and I said thanks so much we were back in the van by 8:07. To find out, she was very rude to my daughter scolding her for waiting to the last minite. Very unprofessional!! On the phone, she could of gave us an option of holding it and picking by it up the next day. I think it could of been handled differently. Very disappointed. I should of went in. I wonder if she would of scolded me? Thankful for the book though not so thankful someone thought it was okay to be rude to a paying customer who happen to be 13. She wasnât rude to me at...
