I was very disappointed by Kohls. The day I went the store was a big jumbled mess. The sales weren't good and the items did not really appeal to me so I left the store without buying anything. There's only a couple of Christmas trees up. The ornaments are always really cute there but the ornaments average $11 and up for just one of them. Now I can understand all the things that I've been reading lately online about Kohl's is struggling to stay afloat financially. The only part of the store that was meticulously organized and very well lit was the new Sephora location inside of that store. But I don't use their products. It was a noticeable difference given how messy the items in the rest of the store looked. Right outside one of the walls of Sephora there was this rack of clearance clothing shoved over there like it was waiting to be shoved in a storage room somewhere at the back. But it was right there in the front. And things were so jammed onto that rack there was no way that you could actually move the clothes aside so you could find out what size it was or what the price tags said. The store was jammed packed full of customers so obviously people still like shopping there. But you have to wait so long in line for a cash register to become available it becomes exasperating. That's why I seldom go there. When I do I often just leave with nothing. Or I wait until Monday morning and go right after they open. That way I don't have to wait in line for as long as you would have to on the weekend. I've never seen the Troy. Ohio Kohls store this messy before. Usually everything's...

Below is my recent experience with Kohl's. Be careful where you spend your hard earned money. Only shop places that value their customers.
Wow, just wow. We do Xmas up big in my family, very big. For the last several years at least 98% of our Xmas for 7 people plus have all come from Kohl's. THAT ENDS HERE. 2 days after Xmas, my daughter from DC attempted to return 2 shirts in your store with receipts for a gift card, which she intended to spend that day. Imagine her shock at being told that she couldn't. After asking for the manager, who I'm told was nice but not helpful, she was told that her only option was to issue a credit back to my Kohl's charge, which we paid off as we went, by the way, here's the kicker, even with her receipts, they would only offer to issue the credit for less than half the amount I had paid. They claimed they had to treat it as a return that had no receipt, even though the receipt was in their hands. So they wanted to issue a credit for 20. on a paid off account for shirts I'd paid over 40 for. Neither shirt was on clearance by the way, not that that should even matter, we had receipts. This is beyond insane. Totally unacceptable! Besides my family, I've already discussed this with 3 friends and will be writing extremely negative reviews on every public platform that I am part of. How dare Kohl's pull a stunt like this. I guess they see no value in a good...
Read moreAs an active kohls customer, I had a 30% discount card for purchases. So I went to look for clothes for my grandchildren! ;) The baby & toddler items are all mixed up in the same area with no apparent logic to their order. This made it very difficult to find the toddler clothes I was looking for. If I'd been in a hurry, I would have given up. But eventually, as a result of determination, I found several things that coordinated well into outfits. If the clothes had been organized into outfits or hanging with other things that matched, this would not have been as tedious & time consuming!!
While checking out, I was struck with how expensive everything was even with the 30% off discount!!! I debated on leaving some items at the store, but having worked so hard to finally get some things that would look wonderful & meet needs, I just went ahead & bought it all. But it will make me think before doing this again. :(
I have appreciated the store. The gal checking me out today was especially sharp & sweet! Customer service is so important & I always receive kindness & great service...
