Don't believe for one second that when doing pickup, they give you fresh anything. We have been using pickup weekly for just shy of 3 years. During that time, we have consistently been given products that expire the next day or stuff that is literally rotten. Wait times are always outrageous. They have forgotten to load all of our stuff on several occasions, forcing me to have to turn around or make the 30-minute round-trip again. The system is always messed up or slow. No longer get an email or text letting me know what was out of stock or a list of substitutions to approve. Now, they ask us if we are aware and then tell us what was out of stock and what they substituted. They still allow you to deny substitutions; it just takes extra time now. The fact that we almost always get stuff that's about to expire really makes me think they are having these people pick old stuff on purpose to minimize losses of "stale" products. We have had stuff that had a clearance sticker due to the fact it was about to expire the next day, and to top it off, we were still charged full price. It's crazy to think that would be acceptable in anyone's mind. Below is a picture of the apples we received today. Most of them are rotten and brown. Also received two other products that expire tomorrow and the day after. With the price of everything increasing, it's sad that the quality of service is decreasing at an alarming rate. We have already started ordering everything we can from Wal-Mart as they have always been good about giving us products that are fresh. We used to shop at Kroger for higher quality produce and fresh foods. It seems Kroger has abandoned the level of standards that made them what they are today. Very disappointing that I once again will have to take time out of my day to call and get a refund for bad products.
update 8/7/22 Nothing has changed. We still continue to be given rotten products along with products about to expire. Today we not only were given product covered in "Reduced Price" stickers (because it expires tomorrow) but we were still charged full price and not the reduced price. It's extremely frustrating that prices are increasing what seems like weekly and now we are losing 10$ plus a week to rotten or expired products. I just spent over 30 minutes on hold to be refunded 5$. They no longer will credit you for items on a previous order. I used to just call once a month with a list and they normally gave us credit for everything. The lady today just ignored the previous orders and just handled the order from today. We have already stopped buying as much as possible from Krogers to avoid issues but some items we have no choice. There is no zero effort made to resolve the issues on a store level. Kroger is a joke now days, I still remember 5 years ago when we went out of our way to go to Kroger over Wal-Mart because they had better quality products. Now it's the opposite. Go to Wal-Mart for as much as you can. I will update this review everytime we receive rotten or expired products until a...
Read moreThis review is for their Click List option only. I haven’t had any problems with anything else.
After having numerous bad experiences with their Click List and employees giving me whatever substitutions they wanted, I had vowed never to go here for that again, but I have a busy week ahead of me and didn’t want to spend my Sunday in a busy Kroger so I made a gamble to use it just one more time. I mean it couldn’t be wrong consistently four times in a row could it? My click lister Kiteara thinks so.
Oh lazy, incompetent, Kiteara who told me four items on my list were out of stock and substituted items when I had marked NO substitutes on anything. You wonderful employee you that made me park my car, go into the store, and get every “out of stock” item that you were uninterested in getting, and exchanging every substituted item for the right thing. You, Kiteara, if that’s even a real name, I’ve come to realize are the same person that did my list last week and substituted seeded grapes for cherries and sprite for Sprite Zero. Thank you for being so lazy and either not bothering to even try to find my items or passing them and being uninterested in going back for them. You are everything wrong in the workforce today.
Finally, to the heavy set bearded man that brought my groceries to me, and then leaned so far inside my car to read me the paper he had that he not only made me uncomfortable but burned the back sides of his elbows on my door jam; stay out of peoples cars. No woman wants you to invade their personal space just to tell them you don’t have their bananas. You can do that outside of the car in a safe zone and not where your beloved paper was bouncing off my chest.
Edit 9/17: Just when I thought Kiteara couldn’t let me down more; she did. I just happened to notice today that I received unsweetened Almond milk when I asked for unsweetened vanilla, and I asked for two one pound packs of raspberries to which she gave me four 6oz packs thinking it would be equal. One pound is 16 ounces...
Read moreI was harassed st 330 am until 430am by the manager and worker. My husband and I arrived just before the store closed for an hour due to computer updates and were asked to wait outside. While waiting outside as the manager had asked us to do a single officer stopped and asked us why we are waiting outside the store and we had told him about the store updates and it being closed. About 3:30 we got to go inside and start shopping. The first aisle that we had gone down we were stopped by another officer and followed by the manager. Apparently we were suspicious because the manager had asked us to exit the store and wait till they reopen. I guess we were also suspicious because it was 3:30 in the morning and apparently nobody is supposed to shop at Kroger at 3:30 in the morning. I'm sorry but some of us have a work schedule that only allows us to do shopping at certain time hence why the store is 24/7. I am outraged that I had the police called on us two different times and was followed throughout the store and then blamed for stealing something when clearly we did not. I had spent $137 in food stamps for me and my children and was treated as if I was a menace to society. The alarm had gone off at the door when we were leaving after we had paid for our items at the self-checkout we handed the woman our receipt and told her to go ahead and search through what we have we did not steal anything. The woman said that's too much to do and then turned the alarm off and had Us Walkthrough again saying whatever we stole we probably got away with it. Mind you we did not steal anything and everything that we had even if it was unpaid for would not have sounded the alarm since all we have had gotten and we're getting was food. We have utilized the microwave to cook our dinner for after work after purchasing our food items and we were followed towards the bathroom and where we were using the microwave and watched not only from a distance but also up close and was in our own...
