Waffle House — Restaurant in Troy

We are from Michigan and me and my son stopped in while passing threw Ohio. First impression was very unwelcoming. We stood for five minutes and then had to go ask a waitress should we seat ourselves because no one even attempted... we found an empty section it didn’t look they even attempted to wipe down in between customers I asked a employee if the counter had been wiped and she said “I don’t know I think so” in a tone that basically showed she didn’t want to speak and she walked away before I could ask anything else but there were a few people in line to pay so I brushed that off and we sat down I just assumed they were busy but when I noticed 2 gentlemen being seated and waited on like we should have been I definitely understood the tense hospitality even though they didn’t say it we were definitely Discriminated against also we had to ask for our menus it seemed as if they weren’t acknowledging us on purpose and then when our food came out the bacon was under cooked the waffle was under cooked not Sure if that was done on purpose because some of the reviews are complaining about the food as well but We will...

This place keeps going downhill. It's just a matter of time before they fold. We were the only people in the place until just before we left.

My over-easy eggs were more like sunny side up. The cook burned the other customer's food to a charred crisp. It was nearly on fire. It looked like charcoal. She said "Oops. Think it will be ok?" And the waitress said "Yeah whatever". And then they served it to that poor man!

Our waitress had been cleaning. She stopped to get our drinks and order. She never washed her hands. Trust me, I was grossed out. The entire time we were there she would switch between cleaning and serving food without washing.

The cook got eggshells in the dish when cracking them. She would finger them out, wipe her finger in the trash, then fish out more. She repeatedly went from trash to food then cooked the food and served it.

Someone is going to get really sick in this place. They don't follow even basic health safety. And they don't care. They see each other violating basic health standards and just don't care.

I'm totally grossed out...

Waitress took our order at the end of her shift but forgot to actually place our order to the cooks. Me and my guest waited a good 20 minutes before anybody noticed we had not had our food at this point. It wasn't until the waiter working at the other end of the diner noticed how long we had waited. He did everything in his power to serve us the best he could even offering our meal for free. However that still does not justify how long we had to wait. Costumer service should be the # 1 priority in any service establishment and they clearly forgot that. I personally will not be returning to this location anytime soon and I do not recommend this diner to anyone who what's to actually be recognized as a costumer and who wants their business...
