This use to be my favorite Ice Cream shop to go to, until my unpleasant experience today. Usually, I do not write reviews, but this experience left me quite annoyed and irritated. I, personally, chose Marble Slab because they advertise UNLIMITED TOPPINGS. Well, today I was limited on my toppings. I have been going to this ice cream shop for years now. I always get the strawberry shortcake and I have always asked for a kiddie side of extra cake chunks to go with my strawberry shortcake Sundae. It has never ever been a problem as long as I have been coming to this store. I have supported this business for a while, I have even purchased a birthday cake from them. Well, today I go in for my strawberry shortcake sundae, and I asked for extra cake, and was told no, and I was also told by the ice cream serving girl that it was not good business management. The girl who told me this, acted as if I was asking her for her personal cake. I was taken back, it shocked me that she said this, when Marble Slab advertises unlimited toppings. Secondly, no one asked her about her expert opinion on business management. It was a very disappointing experience. Thirdly, the cake that was put into my sundae were crumbs, not the squares that I’m use too, and lastly, the freezer that they kept the ice cream in was broken; my ice cream was a milkshake by the time I finished it. I plan to also notify corporate of their employees who serves ice cream, making suggestions to customers about Marble Slab business management procedures. Overall, I was disappointed in my Strawberry Shortcake, the ice cream melted and I was given cake crumbs, and I was also very much so frustrated with the lack of customer service and having the ice cream girl, with blonde and black hair, I believe she also wore glasses, to argue with me about a policy Marble Slab advertises, and to talk to me about business management practices when I’m just coming in to enjoy my Strawberry Shortcake Sundae, with extra cake chunks, on a nice summer June day. It saddens me that I will no longer be giving them my business, since the Ice cream girl is creating new policies for Marble Slab Creamery. I will go to Cold Stone Creamery, who do not provide false advertisement, and where servers do not feel the need to change company policies nor do they feel the need to give you a crash course in “business...

I mean this is just bad. The spacing is off, the words are written badly, there’s only icing on half of the cake. I paid $80+ for the cake and for the customization, for it to look like something I could have done on my own. My mom had to pick it up today because I was at work, she knew something looked off about it, so she asked the lady working and she said “It’s what he ordered” which is just a bad excuse. I put the order in days in advance, if you feel as though you are not able to do it, call the customer and let them know or see if there’s someone else in the building that can. They called the day before pick up and confirm they had everything they needed and they were able to do it. It might have been what I put in the customization box, but if you are someone who designs these cookie cakes, wouldn’t you have some creative freedom to make it look a little bit better? Maybe neater handwriting? More pride behind the work you put out. Arrived an hour before closing and they had already stopped using the slab so they would not do any add ins for us. Also acted like the milkshake machine was done for the day even though I think they would have made a milkshake had we ultimately asked for one. We ended up just getting 3 cones and 1 cup, and good thing we did because there was only one spoon left. Can’t figure out how this place can’t keep plastic spoons but apparently they can’t by reading the other reviews. It would have been bad had we all got cups instead of cones. Also smelled horrible in there from chemicals maybe. Maybe they cleaned the floors and countertops for the evening an hour before closing, I don’t know. Chairs where already up on the tables like they were closing. It seemed apparent that they were all ready to get out of there as fast as they could and we felt the same way. We almost left without getting ice cream but didn’t want to be like. Ice cream was pretty good so 2 stars...
