I placed an order online for pick up at 7:40p. I was running behind and got there just after 8p. As I walked to the door I noticed the hours which said they closed at 8p which I was not aware of as this was my first time going there and I was thinking they closed at 9p like other places. I took a chance on whether the door was open and it was. I hurried in and to the counter and there were 3 girls engrossed in conversation, 2 behind the counter and one in the kitchen. I was fairly certain the 2 behind the counter would have seen me peripherally but at least knew the one in the kitchen definitely saw me since she was facing my direction and looking straight ahead. They continued talking as if I wasn't there for another 20 seconds or so then suddenly all looked at me like how rude for me to interrupt them. I got no form of greeting, not even a simple 'can I help you' which made it even more awkward. I told them I was there to pick up and gave my name. The girl in the kitchen says "man I'm finna go" and walks off rolling her eyes. One of the girls behind the counter tells someone else(?) in the kitchen "a customer came in here.. or a DoorDash" then hands me my bag. I thanked her then quickly walked out. Fortunately my order was correct since I didn't check it until getting in the car and figured they would lock the door after me. I get that I came in late which is definitely on me for assuming the time instead of checking. Had the door been locked I would have accepted it and just followed up on a refund. However, the door was surprisingly still open within 10 minutes after 8, but it took longer to just pop in and out because of having to wait for them to acknowledge my presence then give me their attitudes before actually getting my food. From all I've heard about Chicken Salad Chick and especially their prices, I would have expected better customer service. They weren't working when I came in that I was interrupting their closing duties. They were just standing there loudly conversing about whatever unrelated subject and basically ignoring me. Now I know their hours for sure but I definitely won't be going back to...
Read moreWent to Chicken Salad Chick with family and friends. We were all very excited as we had heard so many good things about Chicken Salad Chick and it was our first visit. After deciding what we wanted we went to order. I had to ask the person taking my order to repeat what they were saying 3 times. The food came fast but the soup and Mac and Cheese were lukewarm at best. The Croissant i ordered was as hard as rock and the pecan's seemed to be missing from the Lemon Basil Chicken Salad. The fruit salad was all grapes - no blueberries or strawberries. We were told they were out - strange as there are 3 grocery stores less than a mile away. Very disappointed. The upside - the place was clean, bright, the food came to our table fast and we did get our money back on the fruit salad. Bottom line - we won't be going back. ...
Read moreI recently ordered takeout from Chicken Salad Chick in Trussville, and it was a fantastic experience. Everything was so fresh and flavorful, making for a perfect meal.
My partner and I both got the potato soup, which was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. I also ordered the broccoli salad, which was fresh and had just the right balance of crunch and seasoning. Each of our plates came with a cookie, which was a nice sweet treat to finish off the meal.
For the main course, we both had chicken salad served on croissant buns. The croissants were soft and buttery, complementing the chicken salad perfectly. They also offer other bread options, but the croissant was an excellent choice.
Overall, the food was fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. Whether dining in or ordering to go, Chicken Salad Chick in Trussville is definitely...
