Food City — Local services in Tucson

Every time I convince myself to return here, I regret it. Usually it's just to pick up a thing or two I forgot to buy elsewhere (since I live within walking distance), but I'll usually end up waiting in line for longer than it would have taken me to drive somewhere else; they usually have two registers open, and one of them doubles as customer service / bill payments / etc. which is a popular service that holds up the line for a long time.

I certainly don't shop here every week, because the store is small, the selection is poor, and often they just don't have an item you would expect a grocery store to have (particularly frozen goods). I'd understand it if it came at a bargain, but through some comparison shopping I found it to be about as expensive as the Safeway down the street.

To top it all off, the store is kind of old and grungy. They do have a good selection of Mexican items and produce and some meats, but if you're just looking for a place in the area to buy that and everything else, head to the Safeway less than a mile west. I've never had a bad...

Anita was very unprofessional she was asking another customer her input on a situation that had just happened with another customer. The customer had a little girl that was eating a produce but another customer had brought Anita another tomato so that she can charge it. Anita kept going on about how she was teaching her daughter how to steal and that it wasn’t gonna slide by her. I understand that she’s doing her job but once she charged another tomato and kept it she still paid for the tomato. The other customer let her know that she brought her another tomato so that she should just stop with the comments. After they left Anita proceeded to ask another customer their input the customer did not engage making her very uncomfortable. I’m glad she didn’t ask me because I was extremely upset and irritated. She kept going after the lady was charged! How unprofessional and then proceeded to talk after she left. If I could give this place a 0!star I...

Great place depending on the location. Summer of 2018 Albertsons company overhauled all refrigeration’s in all the food city brand. Depending on location as I said will make or break your visit. St Mary’s Rd. Is to my home. I won’t buy meat at this location only because Safeway up the street also anAlbertsons brand . I must say that the produce is usually Mexican ready I believe it come from Mexico but the prices are very affordable to anyone income. Staff is over polite but not very motivative. I only go in to this location when I see something on there flyer that catches my eye for best value. Lock your cars and don’t leave any valuable items in it. Other wise...
