I love this place! It's one of my favorites here in Tucson!

Back when they first opened I used to get their huaraches all the time, they're just so delicious! Fresh, crunchy vegetables, creamy cheeses, and rich, flavorful meats - I highly recommend!

The other day I went back to their new and improved brick and mortar location and it was great! The interior was spacious and vibrantly decorated, the staff was attentive, but not overbearing, and most importantly, the food was just as delicious as I remembered it!

I had their cemita this last time and it was very tasty! Just high quality, fresh ingredients and great flavors! The bread was fresh and toasty, airy and light, the cheese and avocado were creamy, the chipotle chili smokey, the caramelized onions were... caramelized onions! What else can you really ask for? They're delicious! Just a really good flavorful combination that I'm surprised I hadn't tried there before! My one complaint was that I wish it had a bit more filling inside of it, but given that it was lunch time it was great to have something that wasn't too heavy! It wasn't like I was still hungry after, either, I was quite full! But for me I would have preferred the ratio of filling to bread to be a bit more on the filling side than it was. Still great!

I'll definitely continue to come back here and would recommend others to do the same! Great businesses like this need to be supported and I while there are many great Mexican restaurants in Tucson, I don't know of any place in town that scratches the unique itch that El Antojo...

We dined at this restaurant yesterday. I had read about it in the paper and we are always looking out for new restaurants.

We arrived at 5:30 and they still had a few tables open. We were seated promptly and our drink orders were taken by our server. She brought chips and salsa when she came to take our order. The salsa had the just amount of heat and was very tasty. One person in our party said it was the best she has ever had in Tucson. I thought it was excellent and in my top five salsas in Tucson.

We all had something different and everyone said that there meals were delicious. But I would say that mine was far and away the best. I had the Mole con Pollo. It was the best tasting mole I have had in Tucson. The portions were large and you wouldn’t go home hungry. I took 1/2 of my order home with me and it still had a good flavor at lunch. There refried beans were ok but could use something more to improve the flavor.

The restaurant has about 15 tables and by the time we left, they had a waiting list. We all like the plates the food was served on. The plates were made in Mexico on a special order with their name on the dish. They were very beautiful. The server was very friendly and professional. The restaurant was very clean and tidy.

The menu was very extensive and was easy to understand. The price is higher than some Mexican restaurants but given the flavor of the food and the size of the order it was very well worth it.

We will definitely be coming back to try the other items on the menu.

You can’t go wrong by eating at...

My wife my daughter and myself went to Antojo Poblano 6 July. We went 5 yrs ago when the family had a cart near this same location. They're food is usually good. This particular time the food was good. At the end of dinner my wife wanted a dessert. The nice waitress said they had tres leches cake . My wife ordered a piece to go. It was $8. Our bill came to $85 plus tip for 3 people. Well we got home and we all were going to try a bite of tres leches cake . My daughter noticed the peach on top of small piece was moldy. It was green and fuzzy! It was toolate at night and we were too tired to drive back and get out $$ back. A coupke of days later my wife threw out the cake. She did take a photo. Which we showed to the owner a few weeks later when we had dinner their again. The owner precedent to tell us ..oh this isn't us!!! That's the way it was delivered to us by our vendor ?! She didn't offer a credit of our bill a free dinner .. something !! Unfortunately that ends our relationship with Antojo Poblano. A little customer service goes a long long way. Thanks for the...

This place just entered my top 3 list of best restaurants to eat at in Tucson! 🎉 Delicious authentic food from the Mexican state of Puebla. Everything we ordered surpassed my expectations. Enmoladas de pollo - enchiladas in mole salsa (chocolate sauce) Huaraches (in the shape of a Mexican sandal) - served on a thick & long oval corn tortilla topped with beans, avocado, cheese, cream sauce, lettuce, and your choice of meat. I ordered tinga de pollo (marinated chicken) and adobada (marinated pork) Tacos Ahogados (drowned tacos) - fried tacos with beef, bathed in green sauce with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and sour cream Torta Milanesa - breaded beef Mexican sandwich with beans, mayo, tomato, avocado, oaxacan cheese, and jalapeños I can't wait to come back over & over until I order everything on the menu. Highly recommended! 😋

Being on a gordita kick lately, we tried three varieties from this food truck when we were walking by and spontaneously decided to grab a bite. This is street food at its handcrafted best! The dough tasted so fresh, not at all greasy, and each was generously filled. The bean & cheese was a balanced take on the classic. The nopales (cactus) was a delicious rendition of a regional delicacy worth trying. My favorite filling was the stewed mushroom which was so flavorful, I could imagine spooning it atop anything. Orders here don’t come out instantly; food this authentic and fresh takes a minute to prepare, but boy is it worth it! I also appreciated the specification on the menu of which options are vegetarian - a very helpful, simple, and yet rare courtesy.
