This was my go to salon for years. I go EVERY OTHER WEEK mind you so remember that when I discuss the price increases. Within the past year they have switched owners and I have tried to stay with them and give them a chance. At first they were great. The same nail techs worked here and I was able to go to my same lady who always did a phenomenal job. Yet recently in the past few couple months they have decided to spruce up the place and take it out on their customers. They have no pricings listed and before had informed me things would remain the same. But now the last 3 times I've gone they have tried to increase the price each time. And each time they have changed their story as to why they are raising the price again. Not only is the old nail techs all gone but the price increase and explanation never comes from the new owner. She always bolts off as if afraid to be met with questions. First price hike they said it was because they weren't making money because people weren't coming in (go figure, so you gouge your remaining clients, that's silly). Then they hiked it again after that. The last straw for me was when they hiked it this past time. I have no problems with them maybe needing to hike the prices up a couple dollars, I get it. But every time I come in you are switching the price and making up a new reason why that is not ok. It is also not ok to spring it on your client at the END of their services. You should give them a heads up on the changes before hand. This place will go under at this rate. I'm already taking 6 people with me and we are finding a new place. I plan to go back. And send friends there. Luxury retail level as if there was a spa concierge handing out bevs is not their way Rich Nails talks their ownership attitude. They don't do the perks that drive consumer costs up. Where their perks are they put into quality human to human service. Not frills. As in, maintain a relationship w a client. Excellent on my criteria of a nail care establishment: (1) no chemical scary smell, nor botanical cover up scent. (2) no peeved customers. (3) clean uniforms. (4) recommendations offered after prompting me to share what my visit was with regard to. (5) this observational sensitivity I highlight as my nails at the time were a bit ragged from moving furniture around my apt. (6) stating I had meetings to attend f-f the nail artist suggested a white tipped manicure --French at a very reasonable price. Not only was it done in fewer than 5 minutes but it was completed under the uv dry for 7-8 more which is usually given to customers paying for a more expensive selection, at other salons. Then, they came by to check if the manicure was perfect and added a protectant that would seal the polish and make it really hard to scratch. This oil also moisturized my fingertips. It's now Thursday and my hands still look good. Hidden surprise. I never saw this place until I was at another shop in this strip mall. I looked at the reviews and knew I had to give them a surprise. I was hesitant when I walked in because only one person was being helped with only two technicians. Lee started with my pedicure and I was very comfortable because she was gentle and very thorough. The pedicure was excellent. Now into the new set of acrylics. I asked for the French nails (only $5 more- $30 total). Lee took her time and understood my needs that I expressed. I wanted the square rounded nails and not to long. Again - perfection. She took her time and never once nicked me with the files or the grinder. I must say that regardless of the emptyness of the shop my nails are beautiful the pedicure was fantastic (including the massage). I give this salon 5 stars because they are the best of all the nail salons in my area. No waiting an hour to be helped. No kids right out of school screwing up my nails or causing injury.
