For dear people who just want to read a âgistâ of the review about this shop, we must say this; please be very cautious if you decide to get services from these guys. You may confront with seriously unethical approaches from them only because they want to make you pay more even when you don't have to pay at all for getting proper services. So just please be cautious to be overcharged or wrongly charged by them.
For people who wonder more about the story that my friend and Iâve experienced today, here it is. Iâve had a problem with the delamination of my MacBook Pro monitor and been noticed by my friend that Apple provides the monitor replacement service for free. So I've booked for a service with this "Authorized" repair shop. For the first time, when weâve got there, the place looked nice, and everything seemed going well, but after I've given my laptop for changing my monitor and came back to work, I've got a phone call from a staff whom I've talked to at the shop. He said that "according to Apple's policy,â I should get repaired my battery and pay for it if I want to get the free replacement service for my monitor from Apple. Since I wasnât so sure whether that kind of policy exists, and also because the staff kept informing different prices for replacing the battery, we felt suspicious. So I called Apple directly and talked to Appleâs senior advisor when my friend and I got to that store again. The Apple advisor confirmed that there is no such policy, and it turned out that the authorized repair shop only can notify their customers about the result of the visual inspections (not force them to repair additional things and make them pay). The unlucky staff murmured when I transferred the Apple managerâs call to him, and we already knew that he lied to me and kept trying to hide it. We even could hear the staff who informed us the nonexistng policy was talking to his manager in the back stealthily. Finally, the manager came to us and confirmed the fact that we donât have to pay for unwanted services. Well, the most important thing you may need to focus on this story is this. While we were talking to them to make sure every problematic issue with the staffâs statements, all clerksâ attitude was something. I saw a staff eyeballing and saying âare you serious?â when I requested the staff who brought my phone to talk with the Apple advisor to be where I can see him because he went to the room where I couldnât hear and see him. (Imagine that someone takes over your phone call and go anywhere you canât see one). In short, no apology until I requested one.    Read moreFirst and only time Iâm EVER walking into this place. To start off I had some fault in the beginning but by the end I was beyond not ok with how this place handled my situation. I did not have a repair appt which was my fault to begin with so I was definitely not mad about that. I had been having some problems with screen protectors bubbling up and falling off after about a week or so. I had this issue in the past and it had been a warp or miss balanced screen(or glass) so I asked for them to replace or lift the screen and rebalance it so my protectors would stop falling off. I was told no because there wasnât any physical cracks so they would not do that unless I called apple and had apple specifically place an appt and state they could replace the glass. I did this in the parking lot since they had appts for the same day... I walked back inside and spoke to whom I believe is the manager. He also stated since in the âinspectionâ they didnât find a warp they were still refusing to do the work I specifically called apple to make to do since I have AppleCare+ and T-Mobile insurance because if I had to come to them it was a âlast resortâ even though our Apple Store is temporarily closed and I would have just gone there if they were open. In conclusion donât waste your time on this place they gave me and more people in the store at the time the run around.
Response to owner: thank you for youâre response Apple has been notified of this situation and is investigating your claims since they have not only the recorded calls between them and myself, but also the emails for the 2 confirmed appointments made for that same day (Monday January 4th at 3:00p, and 4:20p). I had always heard good things about Simutek so that was my first thought and since it was an emergency, I didn't have an appointment which seemed to be equivalent to a crime there.
The person who was "helping" me, I mean who "greeted" me..nope, not that either. Anyway, he couldn't even be troubled to look up at me when he spoke to me. (man with longer dark hair in the "service" section)
He was rude and had me stand there with no explanation while he typed away at his machine. I couldn't tell if he was trying to see if someone could help me or if he was just doing his own thing without taking the trouble to dismiss me.
Lucky for me, he eventually sent me to STAT Computer Services (Perhaps he was tired of my lingering in confusion?) where the super friendly staff fixed my phone in under 10 minutes. I was so relieved!
I get that everyone can't change their schedule to help someone like me and I don't know what they face all day that might make them behave that way, but I feel like on the outside chance that someone really has an emergency, you might want to pay them the courtesy of kind, clear communication.
