I am giving this store on 31st and garnett a 2 star. They used to be my favorite go-to store because of convenience and friendly clerks until today. So I admit my biggest mistake is that I tried the display shoes that were not my shoe size. They fit ok but I took the shoe box that is my size without trying them on. Shortly after the purchase, I had buyer’s remorse and planned to take them back. The clerk that helped me was pleasant and nice but her coworker made the whole situation very uncomfortable for me. She stared at the bottom of the shoes, analyzing the heck out of it, which then proceeded to passively insinuate they've been worn by me as she reminded the store policy. In my thought, couldn’t she just ask why I am returning and not full on attack me for purchasing some shoes that for all I know might have been worn and returned by someone else before I purchased them? I guess I happened to be the lucky person to get reprimanded over shoes that I thought were new new. I don’t even see why she thought they were not returnable considering I tried the purchase shoe in my room’s closet on carpet. No way does carpet ruin the bottom of those “new” shoes. So then she states that she’ll be okay with it this time and take them but to remember store policy. Not giving a damn that I stated they were never worn. Customer service was horrible. I didn’t know I was going to go in having to prove myself for I don’t know what her deal was with the...
Read moreHas beautiful clothes and accessories, plus shoes! I use to purchase a lot of clothing from this store. They started catering large sized clothing so finding something in my size here these days. I wear a 3 to 8 depending on cut, fabric, and design. I have purchased shoes and hadbags here to spice-up an outfit I already own, but have just worn once! Makes sense to reaccessorise rather than buy a new outfit considering we all possess this "latent shopaholic"gene. I love their costume jewelry selection! A new scarf, necklace, earrings, or bag and shoes give an old outfit new life. Many of Cato's clothes are classic cut, which makes them trendy, without having to continue purchasing "new trendier" lines of clothing. I am extremely glad of this classier trend toward their line of clothing, requiring you to continually shop to update their trend-setter clothes. Classic is far better than buying an outfit that is out of style the month after you purchase it! I absolutely hate being a...
Read moreHorrible customer service! I try to return some white shorts and the manager was very rude to me, she sounded like she was reprimanding me and accusing me of staining the shorts red, according to her with maybe a belt (which I don’t even wear belts), and who knows maybe they were stained before I bought them, to what she stated they don’t sell “damage goods”, she try to show me the stain but I seriously couldn’t see what she was talking about, so then she started raising her voice at me and treating me very rudely, which I didn’t deserve since I was trying to be nice and understanding, at this point I was really upset and I just walked out the door before I started behaving like her, it wasn’t worth arguing with her, I only tried those once and since I didn’t like how they looked I took them off fold them and put them right back in the bag with the receipt, Cato should really invest some money and send their employees to a customer...
