Greetings from a volunteer Greeter at Germanfest. I was at the front door saying welcome and directed our visitors to our amazing German merchandise tables with GAST Hummels. Directly across from that was our same hard working lady who brings her nut hut to every GAST event all the way from Kansas to make her sweet-coated cashews, pecans and walnuts. The bar was well stocked with Spotten Oktoberfest beer, in the main room we had warm and soft pretzels, root beer floats, frozen cheesecake, etc and to the left was the line of our variety of delicious and authentic German meals. Bratwurst with sour kraut, German mustards on a bun, Bierocks which are the best I've ever had, schnitzel (breaded pork, truly authentic) home made potato salad and red cabbage. There were three different bands playing during my shift with music so good you just had to get out there and dance! The staff were attentive & kind. We arrived early & they had chairs in the lobby area. Beautiful building & I really enjoyed our first experience. Highly recommend, so romantic, moving, & beautiful. You can dress up or wear casual, we went pretty casual & most others did too. 10...

The food was very American and they didn't even have Stollen, the most common of common Weinachs gebacken. Hotdog buns were used instead of the typical Brötchen, but at least the Kartoffelnpuffer were somewhat authentic. Very difficult to get through in a wheelchair and no access to the downstairs area. The wheelchair accessible restroom is behind a closed section going into the kitchen and is not immediately available. Would make for possibly a "fun time" but don't...
