I simply can't say enough positive things about this company Sam the Concrete Man, from the owner to the Foreman and to the Crew!!! When I started this project, I was having a very hard time getting contractors to come out and even give me an estimate. I had companies that were recommended that gave me an estimate site unseen, heck, I even had one company ask me to send them pictures and they would give me a quote. To me, that is the epitome of lazy salesmanship. Folks, this is my house and yes, I only needed an estimate for a new patio to be poured but that didn't sit right with me. After those 5 contractors I finally had 3 contractors that came out looked around at what the job entailed and gave me their realistic estimates. Although they all did a great job in letting me know what they wanted to do to, there was 1 that took the time to explain in detail about what needed to happen and WHY. Glenn explained everything from removing the deteriorating wooden deck breaking up the existing concrete patio under the wooden deck, bringing in filler, packing it down and creating the new patio on top of that to the height where it needed to be to make it look fantastic. He explained what the concrete mixture was going to be and why he uses that mixture. He also had a great attitude when I told him that I had 1 more contractor coming out to give me an estimate. He absolutely understood that and is humble enough to know that they are not the only concrete contracting company out there. Sam the Concrete Man was in the top 3 and they were not the cheapest and they were not the most expensive but they won the bid because Glenn did a great job at educating me on the concrete and the job. On 7/24 He brought out the Foreman Jose, to do a walkthrough over the jobsite so any questions could be asked and answered before the job ever got started. Jose offered suggestions to what they could do to make my patio more beautiful. That was huge to me. Monday 07/28, the crew was on time (actually they were early) they removed the old wooden deck in about 20 minutes. They had the old concrete broken up, had the filler in and formed up by 12pm. There was no messing around they showed up to work, they got break times and worked until lunch. They had a little more to do after lunch, they cleaned up the worksite (my backyard and front yard) and the first day was finished before the real heat of the day set in. It was very impressive. Tuesday 07/29, they were supposed to show up at 6am to start pouring concrete. This awesome crew was at the work site at 05:45 ready to go when the concrete truck showed up at 5:55 or so. They were literally pouring the first bucket at 6am!!! This crew along with their leadership was like watching a well oiled machine. They put up tarps to make sure that the when they dumped the concrete out of the bucket that none of the concrete would splatter onto the brick walls or windows and bucket after bucket coming in had all the concrete poured in by 07:45. I even got a tutorial from the Rig operator on how the truck operated and how all the concrete was digitally measured and mixed all as it came out of the rig, right into the bucket. Then the leveling and working the concrete these guys were extremely professional. They all knew they were up against the extreme heat of the day coming that could mess the concrete up real easy if they didn't stay on top of it. By 11am or so they were texturing the top making it look like a masterpiece. These men are fantastic artists. Then it was time to clean up. These men canvased the worksite, they picked up everything from the back yard to the street. Folks, my patio is incredibly Awesome. You absolutely get what you pay for with this company. You get knowledge, workmanship, and professionalism. I will use them again on my next concrete project! I completely recommend them 1000%. I want to again give a huge shout out and Thank you to the Crew!!! Thank you to the Foreman Jose!!! Thank...

Let me start by saying I am not a professional, but the guys at Sam the Concrete Man are. I am building my home by myself and have made every mistake in the book, hiring out my concrete is one thing I did right.

It started when I requested a bid for the slab and porch of my barndominium. I was contacted by Glenn almost immediately and was treated like my build mattered to him. Come to find out he is the owner of this branch, and you'd expect that kind of service from someone at his level. Being a self-build it has taken months longer than expected and Glenn went above and beyond and checked how things were going multiple times.

When I was finally ready to actually pour Glenn brought his foreman to the sight to finalize everything. His foreman, Jose, was just as respectful, knowledgeable, and eager to help. Seems like attitude does reflect leadership.

We planned out two pours, one for the main slab and one for the wrap around porch. Everything went extremely smooth on the main slab pour. However, due to my own fault I wasn't ready for the porch pour. I called Jose at 9pm the night before and told him I hadn't set the rebar, much less tied it, like I said I would. He said no problem, I will send the guys early to help. They showed up and not only helped lay and tie the rebar, they straightened all of my forms. Manny, one of Jose's leads took charge of this and acted like they were pouring a porch at his own property. The professionalism seems to be across the board at this company.

To wrap things up, I would 100% recommend this company. If you need more information, reach out to Glenn (918-540-9299 - https://tulsa.samtheconcreteman.com/) and he can give you my contact information to get more pictures or even come by and see the...

We are in the process of renovating my dad's old furniture refinishing shop, which had a gravel (and grass) parking lot since the early 1970's. We struggled to choose between asphalt or concrete, but after chatting with Glenn from Sam The Concrete Man, the decision was clear and we couldn't be happier! From start to finish, the crew was absolutely exceptional. They clearly explained the entire process, went to great lengths to ensure proper drainage and prep, and even spent time walking through the plan with our building neighbor next door to ensure that everyone was happy. After 2 days of non-stop work, we now have an incredible parking lot that we will enjoy for decades to come. As both a homeowner and commercial building owner, I have had many negative or neutral experiences with contractors - I'm sure we all have! Not showing up when they promised that they would... bait-and-switch tactics, no attention to detail, etc. I can 100% assure you that a project experience with Sam The Concrete Man will be a breath of fresh air! The owner Glenn and his entire crew are always on time, communicative, detail-oriented, and good-hearted honest people that love delighting their customers. We're saving up for a new patio at our home, and when we're ready to make it happen, Sam the Concrete Man will be...
