It's hard to understand some of the sales here. A sale sign can be in front of something and that item isn't included. Some of their signs make it seem like an item is on sale when it isn't. When the there was some confusion on a price and I brought an item to the register for questions the cashier gave me the price (which didn't match the sale that was posted in front of the item) and when I asked her why it didn't apply to the sale she said "I don't know" with no offer of help. I politely showed her how the item qualified for the sale prr their sign and even showed her a pic I had taken of the sign since I didn't want to walk all the way back if she needed clarification on the price. She rudely again said "I don't know!" and just looked at me. Again, no offer of any suggestions or help. After me asking who might know she didn't reply to me and just called the manager over the speaker. She didn't say another word to me. A helpful manager and I walked back (he too said he didn't know, but he at least said he would figure it out) and figured out the item had been in the wrong section. It was an easy resolution that could have been done without the attitude of the cashier. She just left a bad taste in my mouth due to her rudeness. I had only stopped in for this one item and it was closer than other options. I was reminded of why I rarely shop here and choose Michael's instead. HL's selection in items I use has gone down (vinyl for example- they don't carry as much of other brands as they used to due to now carrying their own brand), the store layout makes little sense (the vinyl was not all in one section but in two or maybe three different aisles, but not aisles next to each other) and the prices aren't comparable for items I need with Michael's. Plus Michael's takes coupons. That and some of the company's leanings are enough for me to go a long time before stopping in...
Read moreWhy is it that if you receive a random charge, you diligently go through your receipt and the items you purchased, see that you physically have 12 items but were charged for 13, and you know you didn’t purchase anything from the department the random charge is for…. That not only do you have to go back to the store, but ALSO have to lug your entire purchase all the way back in with you? What does that prove? I get you want to “match each item to the department skus” because you have an antiquated system, but it still makes 0 sense when someone has one less item than what’s on the receipt? Scammers. The older staff (two women I’d say were probably +50) were extremely unpleasant and rude, but the two associates that looked around 16-18 were very kind and respectful (one girl and one boy). The woman with the white hair acted as if I asked her to go to the forrest and process the paper I needed from scratch when I simply asked where I could find it. The older ladies could learn a few things from the younger associates. I don’t live close by, so I’ll take my $12 charge instead of being inconvenienced further (which I’m sure is a common occurrence and is why they have the “bring your entire purchase back”...
Read moreI was coming in to the store, I saw two employee women talking to each other, I asked them if they had any exacto plastic knife, they showed me to the isle but not where the product was at she just pointed and left, had to find it myself like a big dummy, went ask some other employee, the other woman employee pointed out the isle and I said I was looking specifically for plastic exacto knife not metal, she told me she did not know that section, i told her that she does not know her products?? The employee asked that same employee woman as I did in the first place the first employee told me finally that all the exacto knifes where all metal, she could of told me that in first place instead of wasting my time and not listening to the customers needs how broad is that. Make shure the employees are listening to your question whether they have the items or not just wasted time and gas what a waste. They where pretty stuck up when I was asking them a question, that would be my last time to be passing to that store instead ordering online is go figure...
