Elephant Run — Restaurant in Tulsa

Horrible this is what happened to my cousin ...

I went to the "Run" friday night.I have always been accused of being drunk but this one takes the cake right here:: . I walked in and I was pulling out my ID before I even got it out: Security: are you with someone tonight? Me: No Security: I can't let you in tonight? Me: why? Oh wait you probably think I am dunk but I am not, I have a disability Security: ma'am come step outside with me. As we stepped out side i repeatec myself. Me: I have a diabity I am not drunk. Security:: well it Is my job to protectect our business and our Customers safety as well as yours.. I am not allowing you to come in tonight. Me: I came here to see my brother play music and sing, and your not going to let me in to see him cause I am dissabled As I started to walk away: security: OH Wait!!!! That's your brother in there?? I kept walking and ignored him cause I did not an was not going to cause a scene where my brother was working/singing... Thats a nono.

I have since talked to the manager. Here's our conversation after I told her what had happened. Manager: I am sorry he did not know, you will be able to come in next time now that we know your siutuation Me: yes he did because I told him twice. Manager: we'll ma'm even if you are drunk or not we still have a right to refuse service to anyone. Up to this point have been complety calm. Now this time I had little attitude in my voice Me: so just because I walk like this 24/7 I am no longer allowed in this place. this is norm for me but normally after telling someone once what the deal it is, it is usually all good and I am not treated like your security treated me, so don't you think it then it becomes discrimination issue after I told him the situation and him not letting me in. Manager: no not at all, but if you want keep arguing with me I don't have to ever let you in again. Just wow!!! Even though there are a few good bands that I like to go see that play there I will never attempt to step foot in that place again, I don't care who it is! That is what you call stupidity and...

Went for taco Tuesday. Lexi and Shayla were more than rude . From the moment we walked in me with my cane my husband who just got off work from crossland . My 2 foster brothers look a bit thuggish but far from it ones a preacher the other dispensary owner . Rude judgie disrespectful I have never been so embarrassed or disrespected in any establishment. They make out a receipt charging us for our Waters and the tacos that were a dollar I don't have a problem paying for our drinks but when you don't tell me that the waters are 2.$ they're not advertised anywhere and so rude. I asked to speak to the owner or the supervisor on duty wouldn't give me the owner's name want to give me the phone number I feel like that they're dubbing receipts and skinny money I owned a bar for many years and ran into this problem a lot you cannot judge a person by what they wear or how they look I'm a very big tipper I don't go to a place unless I can tip the same amount that I pay for I'm just saying somebody needs to do something about it because it was disgusting and it changes my view of the elephant run which used to be one of my very favorite places for all my family and coworkers I promise you they won't no more we lost...

had to comment after reading the review below about waitresses deserve to b slapped and dont tip any of the barstaff. wow! i come here all the time because the elephant run has some of the best bands in oklahoma and i promise i have never wanted to assault any of the bar waitresses or bartenders ever. everyone seems to b very nice when i come on weekends.they have 3 waitresses normally and at least 2 to 4 people behind bar so i have never had to wait too long for a drink. if u r a fan of live music and like a nice place to enjoy it then i would say elephant run is a great place to go. place is alot more upscale then the other live music venues around it. crowd is all different ages of people who just want to dance, drink and have a good time listening to some great local music. always have fun here. not alot of fights like other places ive been. usually see groups of people here.big tables full of party people just like me on weekends. food is good and drinks r fair. usually do some kind of $2 shot special that i like to take...
