I have always been a person that gets overly attached to my hair as it grows. So naturally when I decided it needed to be cut off I experienced a great deal of anxiety pain and remorse. I've tried several places to try to help ease my emotional experience, but none had ever left me wanting to return. But once I found Kristen Floyd(Kfloyd hair)at salons by JC, I knew I would never need go anywhere else. Her room is warm and inviting and relaxed and is peppered with her style throughout. There's a tree stump with some plants on top of it which I absolutely love along with cold and warm beverages including hot coffee hot tea sodas Waters. So naturally the four-year-old in me had to have a small can of ginger ale just like I used to at my grandparents. She kindly listen to every concern I had about cutting my hair, and laughed playfully as I described several of my worst hair experiences. In retrospect I realize she may have been chuckling realizing that I was probably these hairstylist worst nightmare just like they were mine. I can honestly say I've never been impressed by a hairstylist skill set until I watched Kristen cut my hair. The grace and Agility she displayed shocked me and her friendly & reassuring attitude and demeanor had me feeling more relaxed than I have ever been in a barbers/stylists chair. She paid close attention to my facial hair which is hard to find and any guy with a beard can appreciate that. The rinse and scalp massage had me in a nearly comatose state, I was barely hanging onto consciousness, I was only able to hang on for fear I might start snoring and embarrass myself (she also happens to be beautiful but like most of the great ones she is spoken for). After the most relaxing, satisfying, and overall wonderful experience I've ever had getting my hair cut she too the time to explain what products would work best for my hair and the way I like to style it. She didn't push products on me just imparted the knowledge and said she had or could get anything I needed but told me to feel free to try anything I wanted and get it were it was cheapest(ironically I didn't purchase from her thinking I could find a deal elsewhere to save some money but I haven't found anything cheaper than she had it priced for.....all in all I cannot recommend her any higher, everything about that half hour was magical and I'm seriously fighting to make it two weeks before I go back....try it once for yourself and you'll completely understand what I've been trying to convey. She is a goddess trapped on earth doing hair at 68th and memorial....don't make the mistake of not checking her out, you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been going to Lexy for awhile now, and Iāll never go anywhere else! She listens to what you want, and explains her process to getting in done in ways that everyone can understand. I first went to her for a color correction with extensions, with low expectations because of the shape I was in for our first appointment. My goal was just to make it where I could be comfortable wearing it up and the mistakes wouldnāt be noticeable, but I walked out with my favorite hair ever, and itās been that way ever since I started going to her! Iām not sure how she became such a master wizard at hair color, but if I had to guess, itās because she moved here from Dallas, where thereās much more variety passing through her chair, and therefore experience. Either way, sheās truly a gem, that Tulsa is so lucky to have. I highly recommend booking with Lexy! Whatās even more special about Lex, is her heart, and genuine care for her clients. Iāve had extensions for decades, and with blonde color every time, it can get pretty pricey. Where it wasnāt a problem before, I took a massive pay cut by going back to school because I couldnāt work as much throughout the week. After having extensions for so long, it breaks both my heart, and my confidence to go without them, theyāve always been my thing. Lexy goes out of her way to let me know about specials sheās running, or when the extensions themselves are having sales. This is so special to me because with her level of skill, she could easily just replace my appointments with people who arenāt going through financial troubles. And if youāre looking for a woman who can make you laugh, feel special, or un-judged, she is your girl! Because of the way she makes everyone in her chair feel like sheās your best friend, you will walk out of her salon not only looking your best, but...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI booked a Sweet 16 appointment for my daughter on about oct. 4th with their stylist Lexy. My daughter was looking forward to the appointment on OCT 30th for her birthday. at 730 in the morning i received the āhey girlā text stating she couldnāt do her appointment because she had a pipe burst the night before and she had to be at her house for the repairman(side note i rent and have had repairmen in my home before so it was odd she HAD TO BE THERE). I understand things happen but if that was the case and you knew you had a big appointment the following day, why wait till the morning of and offer no solution. I had childcare set up for my 3 yr old and was offered for the following day halloween with 20 dollars off a 260 dollar service, which for one is a holiday and for 2 my daughter leaves town. I booked with enough time and anticipation and she was not helpful in resolving the situation. additionally the salon couldnāt take her either, only for a consult. over all i gave a 2 star because itās highly irresponsible to just be like sorry for your luck and leave my child upset and crying on her 16th bday. these appointments are things made in advance because the time and labor involved in the service so leaving us with no viable solutions was heartbreaking. i would not recommend booking with lexy, there seems to be no sense of resolution because again I HAD TO CALL THE SALON and ask, no one there even seemed to know she wasnāt going to be there. overall...
