Nice clean restaurant, good food! We eat at a lot of small mom and pop owned restaurants and what usually stands out at many is the cleanliness (or lack of) of the restaurant. It was quite noticeable that the owners here keep things clean and orderly. I am no Vietnamese food expert. What I try to do is order the same meal at every restaurant, so I can compare what I have eaten and like. For me it is Bun Bo Hue, for my wife it is the vermicelli eggroll salad with chicken. And the appetizer of choice is the spring roll. The spring rolls were large and average in taste. The chicken on the vermicelli was excellent. It had a little char on the chicken meat which really made the meal. The fish sauce dressing was not over powering with fish flavor. The broth of the Bun Bo Hue was a little bland for my liking. It was lacking both in beef flavor and spice (heat and lemon grass flavor). It took a hearty dosing of Sriracha sauce and soy sauce to bring it to life. They don't serve fresh Jalapenos with the side vegetables, but they will provide them on request. The good thing about the Bun Bo Hue was that it was not sweet, It was not overpowered by the flavor of fish sauce and there was a generous portion of thin cut lean tender beef.

if i had to choose one place to eat at before i died, i would choose this restaurant. if i wanted to end it all and didnt think life was worth living, i would come here to remind myself it is worth it. ive been coming to this place since i was a child and its still the best restaurant ever (despite not having all the same foods) actually have no idea what they are putting in this food to make it so damn bomb. food SHOULD NOT be this good, actually dangerous for me, my figure, and my wallet. no matter what you order, it will be good. my personal favorites are the beef pho, brisket pho, fried rice(any kind), lo mein(any kind), that one steak dish, their egg rolls, and thai tea. if this place ever closes im driving off a bridge.

I am very fond of this hidden gem. Delicious pho! Very friendly staff. Very clean inside. Appears to be under new ownership as of Aug 2023... makes sense as there has been a 'for sale' sign on the door for several months. Still a very family-friendly place... Pho recipe has changed a bit but was still excellent. Prices went up a bit. Some menu items have changed, but the new additions look interesting. I posted pics. Looks like they did some cleaning and organizing, but pretty much the same type place as before. It's a great place to grab an affordable and delicious meal... and much better than the other pho options in the area.

Very disappointed in my last visit to Mekong. My family and I have been eating here for a long time and my parents have been eating here since they were 18. They were out of their spring rolls, which is mainly why we come, they’re the best in town. Apparently they’ve stopped serving their shrimp chips, it’s equivalent to a Mexican restaurant no longer serving tortilla chips. Our family loved them especially with hoisen sauce.

They also had most of their tables still completely dirty, it wasn’t a good look and very disgusting habit. All in all since the elderly lady has stepped down the place is going down hill and I can’t stand to see this happen to such an amazing restaurant in Tulsa!

Mekong owners, if you see this, please fix the issues. Our family loves coming here, but we won’t if our favorite things aren’t available and the place is not maintained to cleanliness...

We had a great time there in spite of the poor service. Food was good with the exception of the chicken fried rice that looked like grizzle, and waiter could care less and never ask to replace meal with something better. Took forever to get waited on, people didn't speak English, would not clear table of the dirty dishes so we put all the dishes on the next table. Had to ask for water, ice, etc.and to clean sticky rice off the table. we ask for a rag to clean it ourselves. But we still had a good time and I would go back. Just be prepared to be annoyed. : ) ; ). : / . HA HA!! Other reviews said good service, go figure! Just don't have the guys waiting on you, they must have been in the back on social media or...
