I have shopped here on one other occasion and the gentleman working there is delightful, engaging and passionate about his love for all things cooking! Todays experience was not quite as enthralling. I was basically browsing for supplies, gifts etc, but also looking for truffle oil. I asked the female employee if they had any? She showed me the location, and I then asked her what the price was on the truffle oil, and she said $14.99 pointing to the other oils with the price labels below. I went to check out and the price rang up as $17.99, so I mentioned to the gentleman, that the girl had told me $14.99 and they might want to move the oil or make sure a price is below it. The older, taller woman moved in and asked what happened and he told her the oil rang up at $17.99. She said yes that is correct! I then said well it is not labeled and showed her all the other oils next to it are $14.99, and that when i asked, her employee told me it was $14.99. That alone should have prompted her to honor the price, or acknowledge that yes the oil should have been labeled and apologize for the miscommunication. She did neither! She chose to speak down to me, telling me, of course truffle oil is always more expensive, as truffles are very expensive you know! Yes I do know, however, you missed the finer points of customer service on this one, and Williams and Sonoma, World Market and Amazon all carry a nice selection of...
Read moreCame in with my husband, newborn, and 4yr old son. They didn't have the product I wanted when we got there so we browsed the store. My son was showing me a rolling pin since we've made foods in the past with one so he was excited showing me. The lady who helped us to begin with walked by us again, then came up to us another occasion and started talking to my son asking "did you find something?" it almost seemed like she didn't want him touching anything in her voice, and as my son lifted the rolling pin that WAS NOT SECURE in its box to show her, it slipped out. She came up to us and grabbed it quickly and I asked "is it damaged? We can pay" she said "You will have to pay store price" while walking to the register sighing like she was annoyed. It didn't sound friendly and she shouldn't have even interacted with my kid to begin with. I feel that we shouldnt have been charged for it when it wasnt even properly secure. A piece had just fallen out and she didn't even bother to try to put it back together. I'm very disappointed in our experience. She made it feel unwelcoming and hurt my son's feelings when she said "its broke!" This is the first time that we've ever been treated this way. Disappointed and horrible experience. Thanks Leanne for making what was supposed to be a good family outing into a...
Read moreBeware if you get a gift card and donât spend it all in one visit . They will give you store credit supposedly and itâs stored by your name only . My wife has a common name and they gave her store credit to someone else and basically made her feel like she was lying about it. They werenât rude but said they couldnât verify that it wasnât her why not have an email or phone number associated with accounts. They proceeded to tell her she used the credit in May but hadnât been to the store since June of 2022 and still had the receipt showing the credit. If she didnât have credit why would she keep a receipt that long . Granted it wasnât a great deal of money but itâs the principal and just bad business. Although my wife doesnât shop there with the exception of of these two occasions her boss does and the gift card was given by her boss who shops and has enjoyed the store albeit most likely not any longer after she hears of...
