I have to share my incredible experience at Triad Eye Institute. I’ve worn glasses since the second grade. I always knew I eventually wanted LASIKs, but it was so intimidating and I didn’t know where to start or the safest place to go. I couldn’t have been more impressed with my experience at Triad. The drive over to my surgical prep appointment I was so nervous and anxious. But the appointment went so smoothly and they were so diligent about explaining every step of the process that I left feeling excited for the next day’s surgery. They pair you with an incredible, informative and reassuring optometrist for all your preliminary appointments. This is the same person who stays by you all through the surgery, and it is their voice that talks you through the surgery itself. As an anxious person I found it so reassuring that they walk you through the procedure literally to the second. They tell you what sounds, smells and feelings you will experience down to the second, and they truly go the extra mile to make sure you feel comfortable, reassured and well taken care of. My optometrist even did an eye exam day of surgery just to reassure me. Truly, they go above and beyond. The day of surgery I also had another nice surprise: they had given me the fall special price, which included all taxes. There were no hidden fees or unexpected charges. It was a nice surprise to be offered the discounted rate. They also included all my follow up checkups for free, as well as free laser corrections for the first year, and a shockingly steeply discounted rate for any visual laser corrections in the future. I also thought the massage chairs in the prep room prior to surgery were a thoughtful addition. All the nurses and attendants were so accommodating and reassuring. I truly felt safe and comfortable the entire time. The procedure itself is… a lot, but knowing what to expect and having the countdown seconds marked were really reassuring. I was back home before I knew it, and awoke the next day with nearly perfect vision. As the swelling goes down this will only improve! It feels like I went from HD to 4k vision! If you have any anxiety about laser surgery, this is 100 percent the best place to go. My husband and I where visiting family and my husband was experiencing a problem with his prosthetic eye. He call this office explaining what the problem was and asked if they could help. They told him yes of course and would be happy to see him. When checking in he asked again if there was a doctor there who could help with his prosthetic. The receptionist went to the back to ask and came back " of course, fill this paper work out" After trying to cover his good eye and told him to read the screen with his fake eye, he became agitated and asked AGAIN if there was someone who has dealt with prosthesis. The doctor then came in and stated that this was the first fake eye she had seen and did not know how to treat and called someone in Tulsa. She then prescribed a medication for us to pick up after asking my husband " can you actually take the eye out?" When we went to Pharmacy the pharmacist asked what we where using the medication for. my husband explained and was told " DO NOT USE THIS IN YOUR EYE " is not meant to use in a eye socket . My husband did call back the office and tried to explain that the wrong medication was prescribed they where very rude. After all this we then get a expensive bill, when my husband tried to call and explain nothing was done, we heard nothing from them. I feel this office is only about $ not people care. My granddaughter summer Barnes had eye surgery from u an she has severe several paisley when born she couldn't see at all because of the mussel so lose in each eyes u fixed them when she was allmost a yr old an she's 11 yrs old now an the mussels in each eyes need to be fixed again we have a appointment with you at the end of May so u can straighten her eyes again. I Just would like to tell u that God has given u a great a true gift to fixs there eyes u did amazing job an my little granddaughter summer Barnes is ready to come see you again she is so excited not scared one bit she said Nanny I 'll be able to see again.
