One Up TCG — Local services in Tuscaloosa

Had a bad experience, the manager made it clear he felt that the customer was not always right , and harassed an employee to back him up repeatedly, and the employee didn’t even have knowledge of the product that THEY sell , the manager was petty, argumentative and rude, I will not be back and do not recommend shopping here as a serious collector , most of the cards they sell at a “premium” in Yugioh are not vintage and are legacy pack reprints. Then to justify his behavior the manager said it was due to him having pride in his work but he forgets without customers willing to come in and shop he has no work or business in the first place, amateurs in working with the public, retail, and trading cards.I’m also editing this review after the response just to justify that not only is the manager wrong about his cards listing price but also gave everyone in the store a discount just to be even more petty , I didn’t want a 100$ card for 48$ , I wanted a 2002 card for a raw card from 2002 price, not a reprint from a legacy pack , and I have no desire to return to a store with employees who don’t know what they’re doing , and I only showed up for two purchases according to your account , nevertheless that’s still two purchases and you should be grateful for those two , and I’m glad you gave everyone a discount even if it’s not for me as a buyer , glad to see you care about some of...

This place is amazing! Been coming for just about a year now and every single time I come in it seems like they've somehow done something new, or expanded their stock a bit more. The staff and regulars are friendly and knowledgeable, and will answer all kinds of questions or make all kinds of suggestions.

I've gotten so many Yu-Gi-Oh cards, Pokemon merch, and board games from them by now, and love to see how much they keep expanding. The community that surrounds them is also great, having everything from your typical game geeks to families regularly visiting. I always feel welcomed and satisfied on my visits here. Hope to see this store flourish even more since they really do have everything a gaming store...

Would rate this store a zero star if possible. One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a card shop. Owner/manager is extremely rude. I would suggest going to literally any other store in the state

Just replying to your comment below. That’s wild because I was there last Friday but poor management usually doesn’t pay attention anyway. Kinda like selling product and then getting mad when people buy it at the prices you ask for. Only to get salty when you look up what the actually prices are on tcg player and realize that you were to ignorant to 1. Update prices or 2. Explain to your employees you were enforcing a “rule” about that probably didn’t exist earlier. But that’s ok bad management is...
