Choosing Lin and Jirsa Photography for our wedding and engagement photography was the best decision we have ever made, next to deciding to get married in the first place! Pictures and videos are so important to us...our friends joke that our lives are the most well-documented out of anyone they've ever seen. When it came time to start thinking about wedding planning, the first and most important thing we did was search for photographers. I remember I had seen an amazing shot on Facebook from an acquaintance's wedding, and I needed to find out who took that photo. Sure enough, it had the Lin and Jirsa logo along the bottom and the rest was history. Every photo on their website is flawless and looks like a work of art. My first concern was location; I was temporarily devastated when I thought they only worked in LA and Orange County, but thank goodness, they travel! They were eager to work at our wedding in Santa Barbara. Our initial meeting with Pye Jirsa was one of the most fun afternoons my family and I have ever had. He is so easy to get along with and feels like instant family! This is so important when meeting photographers; to feel that level of comfort and to be real and honest with what you want for your special day. We couldn't wait to spend more time with him!

They went above and beyond at our engagement session on Victoria Beach in Laguna. Every idea I wanted to try was accepted and built upon in a way I could never have dreamed. Their level of innovation and thinking outside the box was exactly what we were looking for. They spent an extra 2 hours on the beach with us so that we could incorporate the beautiful stars into our pictures! We had the best time and every photo looks like it could be in a magazine.

Our wedding day was perfect. Everything that we had discussed in our pre-wedding meeting was executed to perfection. Pye and his team were everywhere and added so much to the wedding prep. More than just photographers, they were our friends and we were so happy to share those special moments with them! They arrived so early in the morning to scout out perfect locations for our couples portraits. I truly knew they were amazing when it started raining and they had to think on their feet to come up with new locations to shoot given the weather. The images that they created with the rain, umbrellas, and the most beautiful backgrounds I have seen with the water dripping across the photos are out of this world. We could not have asked for a more perfect situation. It was obvious we were dealing with real professionals who wouldn't be thrown by anything! All 1400 photos we received were breathtakingly beautiful, and I don't know how we are ever going to decide which to hang on the wall!

Our video is absolutely beautiful. It brings tears to our eyes within the first 4 seconds! They did a spectacular job of integrating the wedding speeches with touching moments during the ceremony and reception. It looks like a movie you would go see in a theater. The cinematography team was genuinely friendly and a delight to be around on our special day! We are so thankful for these videos to cherish and remember the best day of our lives. Our experiences with Lin and Jirsa are a nightmare. We signed a contract with Lin and Jirsa for our wedding for the amount of $9000+ for both photo and video services. Our wedding was on Nov 17, 2019 and we had arranged pre-event communication over the phone with the team on both Nov 11 and Nov 12. During both sessions, we cleared stated what we wanted as priority and they also asked us to fill up the questionnaires and pinterest mood board to show them exactly what we wanted. At the end of the day, they forgot to take most of the photos we listed on our wishlist and especially the Bride and Bride's daddy's photo during preparation. We contacted them to get the problem solved and all we get is ignorance attitude from the team lead Jesse and management (Yvette). Other than the job quality, what makes us disappointed and struggle has been their awful attitude. First, they never admit their mistake and we have never get a "sorry". All they say is "we did a good job". Secondly, during communication, they mentioned that they expect the bride and groom to remind them on missing photos on the wedding day, which means we are paying them 9000+ and still need to do their job. Thirdly, they claimed the fact that the photos were missing because of the time constraints while on the other hand, they spend plenty of time taking photos that are not on our priority list and wasted the time. Forth, when we ask for compensation, they never wanted to compensate a single penny back to us even though such a critical mistake happened. At last, they mentioned we might be willing to return just few hundred as it is just ONE photo. Yes, one photo of Bride and bride's dad weighs the same for a photo of a cute flower at the venue. Lastly, if you work with them, make sure you read through the contract carefully and you will realize every term is there is releasing them from any liability and all responsibility lies on the couple (client). With the terms on contract, they can get away even if the team did not show up on your wedding day.

All in all, I will give them a negative start review if I could as the attitude of this business is very disappointing. My husband and I have been trying to solve this problem with them for 2 years and gave them many chances before we had to go to court for this. My husband and I have never sue anyone in our life and the attitude of their management and the team lead pushed us to sue them in court. Oh, By the way, they gave us the photos only after 6 month after the wedding and the video is about at our 1st wedding anniversary.

We booked Lin and Jirsa for our wedding at Lake Oak Meadows in Temecula and they truly exceeded every expectation. This team is nothing short of extraordinary—professional, personable, and so talented that they made us feel like movie stars on our big day. My husband was originally pretty hesitant about splurging for photos... AND videography... with all the expenses of the wedding so I had to really push for it... but after we got them back, these photos and our wedding videos we both agree was the best money spent out of everything.

Despite being based in Orange County, the Lin and Jirsa crew arrived bright and early, well before their call time, with an energy that set the tone for the day. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and it felt like they were as excited about our wedding as we were! With three photographers and three videographers, they were like a well-orchestrated dream team, capturing every moment from angles we didn’t even know existed. They were everywhere, yet never intrusive, blending seamlessly into the day while ensuring not a single smile, tear, or dance move went undocumented. Prior to our wedding day they set up a time to discuss what kind of pictures we wanted them to focus on and they more than delivered.

The posed portraits are breathtakingly beautiful, showcasing us at our best, while the candid shots perfectly captured the joy and love of the day—those unscripted moments we’ll treasure forever. And then there were the creative shots that left us speechless. We still find ourselves saying, “How did they even see that?” Their ability to find unique perspectives and turn fleeting moments into art is unreal. There were so many moments from my wedding that I wish could last forever, and in these captured moments, my wishes came true.

Working with Lin and Jirsa felt like having friends behind the lens. They made us feel so comfortable and confident, guiding us through poses with ease and encouragement that brought out our personalities. It’s no wonder our friends and family couldn't stop raving about our photos and video! We’ve already printed a bunch to display in our home, and the album we put together is an absolute masterpiece—a keepsake we’ll cherish for a lifetime.
