I have been shopping at JINI for about two years now, and I’ve always loved their selection of toys. Recently, they moved to a new location, which is closer to my home. Naturally, I was super excited to visit the new store with my daughter, especially since her birthday is tomorrow. The store itself is as charming as ever, filled with a wide variety of Jellycats toys that can capture the imagination of both children and adults. The layout is adorable and well-organized, making it easy to find exactly what you're looking for. However, my excitement was dampened by the unwelcoming attitude of the owner. I know there is a promotion because I received their email announcing a moving sale at the new location. I even told my friends to check the store out and see what the promotion was before the old location closed. Despite this, the owner refused to honor the promotion because I didn’t have a physical coupon card, even though the promotion code was supposed to be accessible to everyone. I checked their website, and the promotion code does work, which made the situation even more frustrating. This policy felt unnecessarily strict and left me feeling quite disappointed. The owner is Korean, and I can’t help but feel that my treatment might have been influenced by the fact that I spoke English to her and am Chinese. While the store has a lot of potential and offers a delightful selection of toys, the customer service experience leaves much to be desired. I hope they reconsider their approach to promotions and customer interactions in the future. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I will not be shopping...
Read moreTo be honest great selection and was very excited to check this store out after hearing and seeing about this place and the jellycats they have. Disappointed as I went to checkout to be asked if I had an American number when talking about their promotion coupon thing and asking about having iPhones or had different phones like how that would matter as I've never been more caught off guard. Not sure Whether it was racially motivated or what the motive was because i wouldn’t expect from anywhere let alone a place like this to have an employee say of such. Wondering is it just something she asks everyone Or an international number promotion going on?? Regardless bad customer service which I’ve never experienced and hope not others is treated with...
Read moreI would rate 0 stars if possible. The store is very small and their selection of Jellycats is just okay. They do offer 10% for signing up for email and texts. I signed up and was able to save 10% on the $165 of jellycat merchandise and as I was leaving the store I saw another item and asked the salesperson if I could still apply the 10% discount as it had been less than a minute and was rudely told “no.” I stood inside the store and googled the item and was able to find it on sale on Amazon with free shipping to be delivered the very next morning. I will not be returning to this store as The Grove Home Store in LA is much better as are...
