Black Cactus is truly a gem in the high desert!
Terence and the Black Cactus community welcomed me into the space when I was the new kid in town and didn’t really know how I wanted to show up in my career or the community.
As an artist, educator, entrepreneur, and community member, I’ve been working with Terence to build my first website and develop a comprehensive plan to launch my art business.
Working with Terence has been genuinely transformative both personally and professionally. His deep understanding of culture, community, and business, alongside the care and attention to detail with which he runs his organizations, has provided me invaluable insight into what makes a business sustainable and impactful.
Our 1-on-1 coaching sessions are structured in a way that has allowed me to discover my true north and given me the clarity and confidence needed to take next steps towards achieving my career goals. I’m beyond grateful for all I’ve learned so far, and look forward to continuing to contribute to this...

I remember one afternoon I came in just to get a few emails done, and ended up staying for hours, caught in this spontaneous conversation about art, land, and dreams with a few other creatives at the big communal table. I was working remotely from a "glamping" site in Joshua Tree when I unexpectedly got scheduled into an important work meeting. The reception at my yurt was understandably terrible and I needed to find somewhere fast where I could get high speed WiFi and look professional. I found Black Cactus on a Google search - it was the only place even remotely nearby where I could get good internet and a private room! All of the libraries were closed and the next closest co-working space was over an hour away. I sent a message asking about availability and Terence replied immediately! I was so relieved when I went to the space and saw how clean & professional it was, plus Terence was super friendly and accommodating.
Needless to say, I will definitely be coming back next time I'm working remotely out...
