Never had a problem with this location until today. I travel over 40 minutes to come here because they have a good variety of wine. Due to Covid I don't like grabbing carts if I really don't need too. My mother and I had about 12 bottles (each carried 6) I asked one of the male employees if I can quickly place some on the front countertop while I grab the the rest but he said "no you can grab a cart." I told him no it's ok I don't want to touch the cart. I proceeded to grab the remaining bottles with my mother and once finished we went to the register to pay. Unfortunately we ended up going to the same male employee who RUDELY proceeds to tell me that time I HAVE to grab a cart. I told him I prefer not too. He continues to DEMAND that I grab a cart, speaking over me! It turns into an embarrassing back and forth argument. NO ONE can make anyone grab a cart and if I were to break a bottle then I would be responsible and pay for it since it's MY choice not to grab a cart. Please hire people who know how to work with customers and be professional! The male manager came over and somewhat helped the situation but not once apologized for the confusion. I usually NEVER write reviews but I can't believe how rude that employee was and continuously speaking over me like a child. Shame on you! You lost a loyal...
Read moreI always buy beverages from other liquor stores. This time after many months of seeing this place, I decided to give it a try. First time!
I went ahead and took a six pack of Mike's, and I mixed it out of habit (because other liquor stores in the area let you mix some mike's bottle with another to give the customer the opportunity to taste different ones in a pack).
I went to the cashier, and a lady nicely told me that that was not allowed. Right after she finished the sentence, a person with a rude behavior yelled out loud "It says it on the sign!!" In a very disrespectfull way.
I looked at this person and he walked away shaking the head, expressing disagreement towards my action. This person was the manager of the store, which went straight to his office.
The place was empty, with only a few people buying. This makes me wonder, why would you try to disrespect your customers (the ones who pay your salary) in a very slow day where there is plenty of time to help and gain your customer business. I can not imagine how disrespectful this person could be on a busy day. That actitude must have made this store lose so many customers.
My first impression: This is a nice store with a very...
Read moreI used to rate them five stars until 3 weeks ago! I feel like I'm being racially targeted recently by a skinny sales associate with glasses. They had thieves stealing tequila and have a person of color in a camera shot stealing! I USED to shop here for tequila, but skinny guy conviently gets a water, says "excuse me", timing his straightening stock on the shelves, saying "excuse me". I feel uncomfortable shopping here now (I've shopped here for years) I will go elsewhere for my tequila (Totally Wine is a great store, only about a 6 min drive away). Ashame, CELLAR 97 is a good store, but feeling racially profiled, I cannot shop...
