Iām writing this to complain. Today April 3,2019 I went to the store to purchase an ice cream cake. They young lady (African American) they donāt have name tags so Only way I could identify the exact worker. But she spelt the birthday personās name wrong. The name was Stephanie. She asked me 3 times and still spelled it wrong . She Scraped it off with a spoon and finally fixed the spelling but it was still clear that the cake was messed up. I asked to have it fixed she caught an attitude. I understand people make mistakes I wasnāt mad I just wanted it fixed. I didnāt appreciate feeling like I was bothering her because I wanted my cake Iām paying for a certain way. This is the 3rd time Iāve had an issue with ice cream cakes from this location. Iāve lived in Union my whole life 25 years, Iāve always used this location. Now I don't want to return. I work in corporate myself and treating customers in that matter is unacceptable and unprofessional. Please correct this young lady, help her understand how to treat customers better.
At 7:39pm I received a call from a blocked number from the manager Richard. He called To āaddressāthe problem above. He advised that he spoke to the worker and he apologized on her behalf. Then stated I was a valued customer and offered $5 dollars off any ice cream cake the next time I visit. Although this is so I must say that everyone has a job to do. Itās really about being professional. My boyfriend & I stopped at this location last night at exactly 943pm to get a late night snack . At this location online & at the actual store front closing time says 10pm . Iām aware that the store must be cleaned and sometimes operations shut down 15 to 20 minutes prior, but if this is how this particular store operates, there should be a sign on the door letting your valued customers know the operation shuts down ten minutes prior to closing time. Once we arrived not only was the front door locked but the employees were not even courtesy enough to come to the glass window or the door to let us know they were closed / closing . They made no eye contact or gesture to acknowledge my boyfriend standing there . So unprofessional . A previous customer was sitting outside in the front area and told me it was closed, she doesnāt know if they would let me in although it wasnāt 10pm yet . The employees that work at this specific location need to be retrained on customer service & professionalism. The second phone call was with a girl who confirmed that my email with Image for the cake had arrived. Go to pick up the cake. They present me with the image of a child on a cake, and an intellegibile name. I have no clue who the little boy on the cake was nor what the name was. What I did know was that.. The cake order had been messed up. The cake was taken to the back and I was simply told that they would need 5 to ten minutes. After waiting 20 minutes, I asked if they could tell me what the issue was. The girl had been trying to print out the correct image to place on the cake but couldn't figure out how. Waited one hour before they finally decided to call the manager from home. The women came, fixed the cake. The image was still to small and they just added a double frame of icing. I was told by the cashier that the manager offered a $10 discount for my trouble...I Ieave to take the cake home. Check the receipt and realize she only gave me a $5 discount. Call again.
