I shopped Friday 12/18 @ 9pm, (they are open until 10pm) which was a great time to go. There was only a few people shopping. The store was well stocked & very organized. In the short time I shopped, I scored several Christmas gifts on my list, including a beautiful Stearns & Foster 500 thread count?Down Alrernative Comforter!!! There were several workers around keeping things in order. I was asked several times if I needed assistance. I noticed they have a larger selection of toys compared to the norm for the holiday season. They have furniture items, rugs, kitchenware, glassware, beautifu decor, candles, bedding, a very wide accent pillow selection, a nice selection of pet products, including beautiful small to extra large stainless steel bowls with holders, etc. Lots of stocking stuffer gifts including Godiva chocolates & multiple other brands; some already wrapped, specialty teas, cookies, some in tins, etc. They open @ 7am tomorrow. The item we purchased, had a couple defects. We asked if there was anything like it in the back. Her response was, "I don't know, I don't work back there. I work up here. Let me get a manager."
Manager comes over, we ask and she said no, everything's out on the floor and offered a 10% discount. -thank you!
She walks away and the cashier, Paulette is just staring at us. We asked her if she wanted to scan the price tag. She said, "no" and continued to stare. So we asked again, "you don't want to scan the price tag?" She responded, "why would I want to do that? She's taking 10% off."
I then got snippy and said, "we don't know your procedures! I just assumed you would scan and push a discount button."
Finally, she said the manager needed to create a discount sticker but not until after she was being flippant. Then had the audacity to make a remark,"I'm sorry you took it the wrong way." I stopped acknowledging her.

Reading past reviews, especially on yelp, reveal similar situations from a year ago. This indicates that the Home Goods home office staff have done nothing about the issue (assuming its the same manager), which is not ok with me. I called out the manager while I was there even stating there were multiple customers apalled by her actions, but instead of owning up to her mistakes, she simply walked off.
