Mauritius Tea — Restaurant in University Place

As an esteemed scholar of bobaology, I recently had the pleasure of conducting a field study at Mauritius Tea, where my research led me to two exceptional individuals: Jackie and Grace.

Jackie, a tall Korean gentleman, stood out not just for his impressive height, but also for his encyclopedic knowledge of boba. His recommendations were so precise they could be published in a peer-reviewed journal! I was particularly fascinated by his suggestion of the matcha milk tea, which offered a symphonic balance of flavor that danced upon my palate like a well-rehearsed academic debate.

Then there’s Grace, whose charm could rival the most captivating lectures. She welcomed me with a smile that could only be described as a "thesis statement" for good vibes. Her witty banter and infectious laughter made the atmosphere so enjoyable, I almost forgot I was there to study boba!

In conclusion, Mauritius Tea is a bastion of boba excellence, bolstered by the dynamic duo of Jackie and Grace. Their service is impeccable, the drinks are exquisite, and I dare say, my hypothesis is confirmed: this place deserves five stars! First off, they have a DRIVE-THRU!!! It’s not easy to find bubble tea with a drive-thru so that’s an extra 10,000 points right there! Secondly how delicious are they you might ask, just dry their brown sugar latte with cheese foam, let me tell you they probably have some of the BEST cheese foam around! It is SO hard to decide what to order they have so many options. How friendly are they?!?!? These guys are some of the most patient and kind people I have ever met. Makes supporting local, small businesses even more meaningful, and kindness goes a long way for me especially recently as friendly customer service can be hard to come by lately. Like I would invite them to my wedding you’re family kind of friendly people here! But how expensive are they, best prices for what you get, the prices are very reasonable and affordable.

They opened today and part of their Grand Opening was BOGO on all the milk teas. The store has a cute, clean, white aesthetic and seating both inside and outside. There is a HUGE menu. I got Hibiscus, less ice, 0 sugar and honey boba and the Rooibos, with the same customization.

The milk teas stayed true to their tea flavors, and weren’t diluted by the milk. The rooibos was my favorite because there was the distinctive rooibos finishing flavor. The honey boba syrup was the right add to my 0 sugar drinks, giving them just a slight sweetness. All in all, delicious, quality, thirst-quenching boba milk tea addition to UP!
