long story short: count your money if you pay cash on delivery. cause its your fault if you find some of your money missing. Don't bother calling this place about it. because its not their fault that one of their employee's swipes money from you and they hide it from their boss.
12/29/2016 - today i wanted to get some pizza. i had 40 dollars to enjoy and i wanted to save the remainder for other important things. I order online so i can take as long as i want on making a decision rather than wasting someone else's time on a phone call.
i take the time to wait which felt like 40 minutes but i didn't care. I had other things to occupy my time such as watching my nephew. it finally arrives and i'm glad it did. But here comes the problem, the delivery driver.
the cost was 25 dollars and some change i hand him two twenties he hands me back what was supposed to be 14 dollars in change mentions if i should give him a tip. i said no, i'm fairly broke right now (poor excuse but w/e dont judge me) i thank him for the two pizza's i just remembered i ordered a 2 liter mug root beer says he forgot it and had to come back.
that was ok because i was in no hurry for it anyway. i trusted him, i wanted to relax and trust somebody for once but apparently i was absolutely mistaken. I just wanted to believe that someone who was working had good integrity to actually do there goddamn job.
turns out that he swiped 4 of my dollars for his version of a "tip"
infuriated i called the pizza hut and talked to who was occupying the cash register. told them my story about my missing four dollars. they had to call the guy to ask if he did which required me to hang up. so i hanged up for about 15 minutes. called back again. the guy says he didn't swipe it and the girl recommended i talk to their manager. i agreed and waited alittle. the manager vouches for the delivery driver saying she took steps to count all money including tips and says its all there. In a long heavy sigh, knowing i was defeated i thanked her for her business and hung up because said delivery driver hidden my money and lied to his boss. there is no way i can convince her in a logical manner to doubt because this was essentially a "he said, she said" scenario that leads to nowhere. so she picked her employee over me.
all i can do is warn other people to not be laid back when a delivery driver comes around for cash only. sure it may be four dollars that i lost but it was the principle that this guy decided to take his tipping management into his own hands and walk all over my good will.
i learned my lesson. i wont pay cash for delivery. i'll probably pay for 7/11 pizza from now on cause its cheaper and i get full for WAYYY less.
But one thing i say to pizza hut is...
you lost a customer.
aside from your reviews for being late or dry crust or w/e. i will always remember pizza hut for stealing my 4 dollars and change my mind when ordering pizza. even if it means that pizza hut is the only pizza place in my area i will make my own damn pizza if i have to or just make something else and be done with it.
shame on you pizza hut. really, i don't have alot of skills for managing a company but the last thing i will do is allow an employee to steal change from a customer and will stand by it.
My name is seth shaw, forgive the pseudonym i have as entitled spite because i dont like using my real name as a constant display on the internet. but now you know of whom...
Read moreBridgeport UP location- horrible customer service - beware! We placed an order scheduled for delivery at a specific time and the order didn't show up. There was no email or communication or update that it would be late- called the location & after numerous calls got a hold with a manager & was told that they didn't have a driver so they sent a 3rd party service delivery to deliver the order, but order never showed on time - after two hours the deliver was made by then class ended & after all students had already left. Ended up contacting the location seeking for a refund but the manager refused to issue a refund, because it was with a 3rd party order, mind you the order was booked directly with them- it was the location that used a 3rd party (door dash) to deliver, because they didn't have a driver. We ended up with boxes of pizza, & a small can of Pepsi for the inconvenience. Instead of making it right for the customer i resorted to giving a review. I'm big on communication i understand the world we live in is short staffed had we were told there was no driver we would have made arrangements for pick up instead. We will never go back to this location & i suggest taking your business elsewhere.
*update * after looking at the reviews at this location looks like its a common issue. i hope corporate looks into this franchise because the staff lacks training. We emailed the email that was provided and have not heard back from them. We escalated the issue with corporate and awaiting...
Read moreDelivered "fast" but used a DoorDash driver who was super happy to not be accountable to the actual restaurant. The guy ran off but not before declaring that we had received the whole order. Brace yourselves: an entire pizza was missing. DoorDash guy texted, saying that we need to call the store. Fine, whatever. 20+ minutes later, no answer, still on hold. I don't even care about the missing pizza at this point, I just want to stress how absolutely amateur, yet at the same time, flagrantly indifferent this whole experience has been. Hey franchisee? Your phones clearly get the same attention to detail as your orders do since I was disconnected after just 29 minutes. Good work! You should be so proud! Top notch leadership happening here.
I went further down the rabbit hole, largely because the indifference was so off-putting: Hey "Terry" and "John"? Is this your standard? Or is this how your LLC strives to succeed? Should I email you directly at emeraldcitypizza.com? Do you even care?
What prompted me to excoriate this sad excuse for responsible leadership was the boilerplate copy/paste response to all of the reliably consistent bad reviews. “Thoughts and prayers. Give us your email.” Don’t be obtuse, you have all of that: Most of these are online orders. Take the time to show some spine and own it. Don’t make this the fault of the individual store’s management. Leadership is about taking...
