M & M Video Games — Local services in Upland

I’m giving this place 3 stars based off of 2 different interactions I had. My first time visiting was great. I collect PSP movies which are fairly niche and difficult to find but M&M had a huge selection and since I lived so far away I was looking to take as much as I could. I ended up spending somewhere within $200+ on a huge stack of UMD Video and was super happy with the customer service, patience, and price that I experienced. However that was a few months ago. I went back again yesterday to see if they had more UMD in stock and they had 2 that I wanted. A sealed Monster House at $26 which seemed a little high but it was sealed so I understand, and Transporter 2 with no price tag. When the (I assume owner, who was present for my first visit and remembered me after a minute) looked for the price on eBay he couldn’t find any results and assumed that it must be rare if he couldn’t find any results so he said the price was $40. A completely made up number from the ether. I’ve collected these movies for a little over a year and I knew Transporter 2 was not rare or expensive so i did an eBay search and find 5 or so results for around $7 a piece. He was confused so did a bit more searching on eBay and said he was seeing results of sellers asking for $15 and that’s what he wanted to sell it for. The deal just wasn’t going to work and I left for another store. I’d like to say that maybe it was just an off day, both visits juxtapose each other so much that I’m not entirely certain where the shop actually stands in my eyes. Hard to say if...

Moved to the area saw a game shop near me.and it was a mom and pop i personally prefer to support those shops over big branch companies. Checked it out a bit overpriced but I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt ,after a course of 6 months I purchased games not negotiating there prices and other products i spent over 800 dollars over a course of 6 months . The one day I go in the shop to purchase a game valued at 180 when the game was online for 105 on ebay buy it now, the one time I offered to negotiate I offered over 100-120 worth of games and 90 cash , and his response was thats not enough ? My response was why would I give you more when I can by it online for almost the cash I giving you and 120 worth of games and some were still sealed? It put such a sour taste in my mouth ,that they would even try to screw there local customers who have been coming in consistently? Bad business move now they lost a consistent customer. So over priced games,had to exchange games from time to time because they don't work, and forget about trading anything bad business There's a reason why they have bad reviews and I don't no how they...

Take care when visit if you a high risk individual for covid. This store is unable to follow basic covid guidelines.

I've bought from them a handful of times in the past and enjoy buying from places other than giant corporations, and have been happy with them majority of the time. Visited first time today after the start of the pandemic. Walked in the store for less than a few seconds before noticing two of the staff were not wearing masks. And one customers/employees approaching me was not even wearing a mask. Had to leave as I am high risk, so I decided to wait until the mask-less man left before I entered. He eventually left, but not before an employee (as he came from the back of the store) left without also wearing a mask either, casually strolling out with a package in his dragonball shirt...
