L'Fay Bridal — Local services in Upper Macungie Township

I cannot believe how long it has taken me to get myself in gear and get to writing this review and I feel badly that I put it off (insert wedding planning angst). But I am making sure as many people as I can reach out to know how FANTASTIC this bridal salon is.

First of all the service is IMPECCABLE. My bridal consultant was Renee (Renata). She is literally the nicest person I have ever met in my entire life. She made me feel like she was in the office just for me the whole day - and whatever day I needed to go back just to see my dress. She gave incredibly honest advice, which made me feel like she wasn't just trying to make a sale. She told me what gowns that I tried on flattered my figure and which ones were 'not enhancing the good areas'. She was patient and let me retry-on dresses 2-3-4 times before I even left and without buying anything. When I fell in love with a dress but wanted time to think about it, she kept it on hold for me WITHOUT a deposit and for a long enough period for me to feel like I was not being rushed into making a decision.

Secondly, if you are looking for a good quality dress with a unique design, this is definitely the place to go. The dresses are Parisian Runway / Couture style and they are not unaffordable AT ALL. Some of the dresses I tried on made me cringe to even ask what the price was - when she told me the costs I almost thought she was joking. The dress I purchased is all lace and the fabric was so soft it felt like silk. The workmanship is outstanding and the quality far exceeds anything else I came across - and believe I went out looking, just for comparison's sake. Nothing else compares to the quality of material and style that you get from L'Fay. In addition, the design of the dresses is so unique and far from cookie cutter. It's rare to find anything like that in the Lehigh Valley or surrounding area.

All in all, I know I sound like a raving lunatic but I want future brides to know that this place truly is worth a visit before any other. Every step from start to finish has been such a pleasure and I highly recommend that everyone stop in and look for themselves. I wish they sold mother of the bride and bridesmaid dresses too because I honestly would have given Renee all of my business if...

I am SO ever grateful for both Leslie and Renata for making my dream Tom Sebastien dress come true!!! Renata brought the sample dress all the way from the NY store to the PA store just so I could try it on. I was nearby the store to attend a wedding so I was on an extremely tight schedule, but these lovely ladies made it work!

The dress I tried on was absolutely breathtaking. I saw it on models from the designer’s Instagram page and website and immediately fell in love with it. I knew it was the one, but Leslie had me try on a few more gowns JUST to make sure I was definite on my decision and so that I won’t have any regrets for not trying other styles. Nothing compared to that TS dress! I appreciate her for being thorough.

I actually didn’t realize there was a no camera/photos policy but Leslie was very polite about it when I asked to get some pictures taken. She asked for my phone and took the pictures and video herself—which is understandable since she would know the best angles and views to capture the dress. I later did some research and found that this policy is in place in most bridal stores so that brides can’t just go around taking pictures of dresses so that it can be replicated for a cheaper price point. In my opinion, the original designers of the dresses deserve all the credit for their work and this policy is to respect that. I’m sure there’s plenty other reasons but that’s what stood out and made the most sense to me.

Leslie also made sure I was aware of the 8-month turn around time for the production of my dress. I placed my order in end of May 2024 and the store received it right at the end of January 2025. My wedding is in March 2025 so I knew I was cutting it extremely close since I had to make time for alterations as well. However, Leslie kept me updated and reassured me that she was keeping an eye on it throughout the waiting period.

After making a 12.5-hour round trip from Cleveland, OH, I finally have the dress in my hands and I cannot be more thrilled!!! I will post pictures of the dress after my wedding day!

I cannot put into words how magical my experience has been with L’Fay Bridal. I am eternally grateful that this amazing, family-owned business is only located about an hour from where I live, close to Wilkes-Barre, PA. (And there are two more L’Fay locations in Chatham, NJ, and Manhattan, NY, so they can pull dresses from three stores instead of one.) L’Fay (meaning “fairy” in French) is truly a gem. I have to shout out LESLIE M. in particular for making my wedding dress dreams come true. Leslie, we love and appreciate you! My sister reached out to the store for an appointment at the very last minute, and Leslie was kind enough to accommodate us and make my first experience trying on dresses a fabulous one.

As cliched as it sounds, I have dreamed of my wedding for the longest time - and of my dress in particular. I was anxious about trying to describe what I wanted in a wedding gown, but every comment I made was clocked by Leslie and she used this feedback to find the dress of my dreams. After our initial quickie appointment, we scheduled a VIP appointment at L’Fay several weeks later. I cannot recommend the VIP experience enough! A private shopping experience with Leslie (and L’Fay’s incredible owner, Renee!) plus mimosas and snacks made this day so perfect, one I will never forget. Leslie is so kind, knowledgeable, and hilarious, not to mention JUDGEMENT-FREE (I sweat my butt off throughout the entire appointment - a “me” problem, not the salon’s fault - and she was funny and super nice about it). She got to know the family members I brought with me and when we left, it felt like Leslie was part of our family, too.
