Folks, I have been giving this Pizza Hut in Fogelsville my business for decades.. Always great food and good service.. Always 5 stars over the years!
But something happened along the way..
A few weeks ago, I ordered 2 large pizzas with some toppings.. A $30 order for pick up..
When I got there, I asked to use the rest room.. Note – the staff on site was friendly, though I was just picking up 2 pizzas at the take out counter and asking if I could use the restroom..
But when I went to use the rest room, it was filthy!!! Toilet and sink had not been wiped down in some time, there was paper towels and toilet paper on the floor (which I picked up), and the whole room smelled like urine..
To be honest, when I got home, I tossed the pizzas and ordered two pizzas from a local ‘mom and pop’ pizza joint down the road from me.. I just did not want to eat the Pizza Hut pizzas.. After all, if the bathroom was that disgusting, how do I know that the people preparing my food were following common sense food safety procedures?
I did email Pizza Hut about my experience. I asked that they have the bathroom cleaned, retrain the crew on the importance of sanitary expectations in a public bathroom, and that my $30 spent on pizzas that I tossed be refunded..
You know what I got? A form letter from corporate, and another form letter from the owner of the Fogelsville location.. Form letter apologies and how my ‘feedback is valued’.. And that is it..

Read moreI ordered for delivery at 5:45 pm. I was given a 50 minutes delivery time. The delivery never happened. I attempted to call 5 times about the delivery. I was disconnected the first 4 times. While on for the 5th time, I got in my car to drive to the restaurant. Mind you, each time I called, the message indicated my order had already been delivered.
I arrived at the restaurant to be told they are not answering their phones because they are too busy. The manager finally came out and said she made my order herself and it was cashed out at 6:00 pm. She attempted to text the delivery driver. She did refund my money and said they would have to remake my order. By this time, several other people arrived looking for orders. Most of which had not been started yet.
A worker came out and said they would remake my order but it would be a few minutes because it’s about 7 minutes in the oven. 45 minutes later…my order was ready. I got home to find 2 slices of the pizza didn’t even have cheese on them- the pizza was actually made on breadsticks (is this typical?) and the rest of the food was cold.
When I left, multiple people were still waiting for their orders to be made. Clearly there was not enough staff working and they can’t handle the pace. Never again will I...
Read moreCalled to confirm that this location honored the Book-It program before placing my online order. They said they did. I ended up placing the personal pan pizza Book-It orders (2) over the phone. They said they would attach that order to my online order when it came through. They did mention that I had to show the codes when I arrived to redeem. Upon pick up I was told the personal pan pizzas were never ordered and they would only honor the program if I physically printed out a certificate. This is an online program through the app. There is nothing to print out. When I read the rules from the Pizza Hut website to the employee he just moved and started taking orders from other customers. Eventually I asked if he was going to honor the program or not. He argued saying he will when I have a printed certificate. I again told him the directions say to present the code - not print the code. He begrudgingly wrote down my codes on a receipt and placed the order. So yes, they did honor it- but it was a hassle and waiting for the personal pans after my online order was already prepared meant cold pizza.
