Colonial Electric Supply — Local services in Upper Merion Township

This company bought out a supply house in Allentown, PA that I have used for about 30 years. In spite of the promises they made, once the buy out was complete they discontinued some of the products I had come to rely on, raised prices, and more importantly customer service went from being really good to bad. They eliminated staff which negatively affected the quality of service. One area of real concern for me is they do not give you the date on which they credit your monthly payment to your account. So I received a finance charge for a payment I made that they claimed was late but I have no idea how late they are claiming the payment was or if it was really late at all. I just have to take their word for it. In my opinion this is not being honest. It has been 2 years since I left the above review & in that time they did not resolve the issues as they promised in their response. If you are a homeowner doing electrical work and you are not sure what you are looking for, DO NOT Go to Colonial Electric Supply. They do not have knowledgeable staff or support to assist you or guide you with what you need or looking for. I was very specific of what I needed and they gave me the wrong item/material. Furthermore, they wouldn't let me return it and got stuck with a wire I couldn't use or have no use for. I do not recommend coming here...

If they don't have it, no one will. When the local home center big box store is falling short with inventory issues, Colonial Electric will come through for you.
