DO NOT do business with the DISGRACEFUL Geek Squad. I had an issue with my computer and its display and contrast. I initially chatted with a Geek Squad agent on Best Buy's website. I gave him full access to my computer to fix the issue and he charged me $39.99 plus tax. After about 45 minutes trying to fix it, he couldn't find out the issue and scheduled me for an appointment at the Best Buy in Willow Grove (where I purchased the laptop) to have someone look at it in person. He told me they would definitely be able to get the issue fixed or replace my laptop because it is less than one year old. When I went there was an absolutely incompetent young man with long red hair who didn't know what planet he was on. He had no understanding of the issue after the agent I worked with told me he would have all the notes and what to do next. He didn't have any tracking capability of my meeting with the agent and I had to show him all the details off of my cell phone. He told me I couldn't get a refund even though they did absolutely nothing and didn't fix my computer because I was being charged for the time the rep tried to fix the issue. He told me the only thing I could do was send the computer to Apple for a couple weeks and they will try to fix it or get me a new computer. I said that was fine and he can send the computer to Apple and I asked if I would get a tracking number so I could get updates from Apple and Best Buy about fixing the issue. He told me there is no confirmation or tracking when sending the laptop to Apple. I tried to get him to understand with any brain cells that he had left in his head that if I give him my laptop without a tracking number or confirmation then he literally could just steal my laptop and say we don't have any record of it and I would be out 1k. This whole geek squad company is completely incompetent. The customer service representatives are woefully untrained and its business structure preys on the consumer making you pay for a service and they dont fix the issue. I will just be taking my computer to the apple store tomorrow and see if they have any...
Read moreGood afternoon , March 19th I purchased a open box range from Best buy that was delivered on 3/31. Upon delivery and before the range was taken off the truck, the delivery person made me aware that there was damage that happened in the warehouse by the forklift or whatever machinery that lifted the range. He contacted Best buy , and inform the person in customer service -latrica Naylor of the issue with the range, (the range was severely dented on the right side ) the driver informed Miss Naylor that the picture of the damaged item had been uploaded while he was at the warehouse. Ms Naylor contacted me directly and gave me an option to regarding remedying this situation. She advised that I could have them take the range back and a wait another one , or I could receive gift cards , however since I did not have a working range, I allow them to deliver the damage range and await the new one in about a week. I've called several times and and still no. at this point I would like to give - 1 starrecenothing but they're running around , and yet to receive a response or an update on the delivery of the...
Read moreI made an appointment to visit the Willow Grove, PA Geek Squad store a few months ago. My problem was that my laptop was not holding a charge even after being plugged into electrical outllet overnight. I only had to wait a few minutes, plus I was a little early for my appointment. Jeremiah helped me by doing tests on the unit. He told me that my battery was completely dead. It was out of warranty. I do have TotalTech coverage, which I could have used to pay for the installation of a new battery; but with my laptop, I needed to purchase my battery myself elsewhere. I appreciated his detailed assistance, but decided not to get it replaced because I really do not take it anywhere, and that I would just plug it in to the outlet. Thank you Jeremiah for your thorough...
