I ordered flowers from Kremp Florist to be delivered in Denham Springs, LA. I did a search on Google for local florists in Denham Springs and their website came up. At the top of the site it asks you to put in the zip code of where you want the flowers to be delivered - to make sure it’s in their area of delivery. I did that and it showed they delivered to Denham Springs.
I chose Kremp Florist over 2 other more prominent florists because they had a modern-looking floral arrangement that I fell in love with and decided to purchase from their website. I didn’t want to send a typical orange and yellow Thanksgiving arrangement, because the recipient's mother had recently passed away from COVID -19. I was looking for an arrangement that would work for both a sympathy bouquet and also something that would look nice for Thanksgiving. I chose a modern-looking $75 arrangement but then the website offered me an upgrade - so I bought the upgraded arrangement for $100.
After ordering the flowers online, and paying $119 total for the flowers and delivery. I took the extra time to call Kremp Florist directly to ask what the upgraded version would look like? The Kremp Florist representative told me it would be the same arrangement (on the website) but only fuller with more flowers. I told her that I’d upgraded because I wanted the floral arrangement to be extra nice and explained the situation - she assured me that I’d be pleased.
The flowers were delivered and the recipient sent a photo to thank me - and I was shocked! The arrangement that was delivered wasn’t anything like what I chose on the Kremp Florist website.
The flower selections were different and color palette was not the same either, I’d sent a typical orange and yellow Thanksgiving arrangement (that I didn’t want and frankly was less expensive on the two other websites that I viewed).
Then to top it off, the card with the flowers was from one of the other florists that I decided not to buy from (see photo) - choosing Kremp over them. It seems that the main Kremp Florist is located in Pennsylvania, (even though their website said their florist delivered to the area - by putting in the recipient's zip code), and they sent my order to one of the florists that I chose not to use.
I believe this is misleading and possibly false advertising - today people expect transparency and fairness when buying. They weren't transparent. I would have ordered from the other florists that were truly local and possibly saved money, if I’d known they were misleading me (into thinking they were local) and then were sending the business to another florist.
After this happened, I called Kremp and was told to email Chad. We’ve exchanged emails several times but 4 days later, nothing has been settled and he hasn’t responded to my last email. In my opinion this is poor customer service - if it was the wrong floral arrangement and not what the customer ordered, they should have apologized and made it right immediately.
I would NOT recommend using Kremp Florist. Sometimes there are accidents and that’s understandable - this was not an accident, and it was misleading plus, they’ve still haven’t made it right.
Thank you for your consideration. Dawn Carmichael
Ps. Response to the owner - why are you constantly having to respond to so many customers that aren’t happy with your floral services?
I believe it’s because your website is misleading - and your online customers aren’t getting what they ordered? (please see the attached photos - as an example).
Plus, you’re NOT telling the truth. I don't want to be difficult, but your response shows and tells me a lot about how you run your business.
It’s my hope, that my review helps others - so they will know the truth and can decide for themselves whether to take the chance and use...
Read more——-Update: the flowers were received today at 4:50pm, 12/14. After reviewing the follow-up reply by Kremp, I will be taking my complaint to Teleflora’s customer service regarding their same-day policy. I also raised Kremp’s rating from 1/5 to 4/5. Thank you for the delivery and in the future, I will order directly. —————————————
Extremely disappointing experience!!!!! Do not order via Teleflora!!
To be fair, I think Kremp tried, but whatever they have going on with Teleflora is not working out.
Ordered from Teleflora, using the same day delivery option for my mother’s birthday.
She didn’t receive it.
Turns out on Telefora it’s same day as long as it’s put in before 3pm, but at Kremp Florist, it’s if the order is before 12:30pm. I ordered it at 1:37pm. So of course I have email confirmation from Teleflora saying that it will be delivered Tuesday 12/12, but I called Kremp that evening and they tell me it will be deliver 12/13. From the Telefora FAQ "Need to send flowers for a last minute gift? Never fear – we’re here to save the day! As long as you place your flower order before 3:00 PM in your recipient’s time zone (Monday-Friday, 12:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday), we can get your flowers there the same day for only $1.99 extra. Order now." This is a complete lie.
That’s fine, but on 12/13, in the afternoon she still didn’t receive the flowers and has been waiting for them. So I call Kremp again and they tell me that they knocked on the door in the morning and no one answered. I did specify on my order that if no one answered, to please leave the flowers on the doorstep, but it was apparently decided that it was too cold and windy outside. That makes sense and is fine. Instead I give them my mother’s number so that a reschedule delivery can be arranged. In the evening I get an email confirmation from Telefora that the flowers have been delivered, but I call my mother and it hasnt. I call my mother and she’s been waiting all day in the house. So I called Kremp again, but of course they were waiting for her to call them. At this point I considered just canceling the order since I don’t want my mother to have to wait by the door tomorrow and Kremp says they would be willing arrange a cancellation but it would be through the manager and they could leave a message and let me know tomorrow. I call my mother again saying that I could cancel the order, but she still would like them.
She called Kremp and they arranged a time for tomorrow.
To be fair, Kremp did drive to the house and they pick up the calls promptly. I think whatever arrangement they have with Telefora needs to be improved. Given that I expected same-day delivery and had to call at least three times and the flowers are still not delivered, it has not only been frustrating for me, but also sad that the gift I wanted to send ended up being a burden.
I think most of all it is especially upsetting getting an email confirmation from Telefora that they were delivered, and while Kremp says it will be delivered tomorrow, two days after the same-day order, I am deeply disappointed in this frustrating experience as a customer. Same-day delivery shouldn't be this hard.
Regardless this has been an ordeal and I will not be using Teleflora via Kremp again. Especially considering that the flowers were $35 and the service fee alone was $19. I've had better experiences sending flowers abroad.
On the bright side my mother really loves flowers so hopefully they will be nice. What...
Read moreI placed an order with Kremps to send my mother flowers for Mother’s Day. I chose the most expensive option since her favorite flowers, gerbera daisies, were in the arrangement. What she received was not even comparable to what was ordered. 5 of the plants in the ordered arrangement were not even included in the arrangement sent to my mother. What was sent does not even justify what I spent. I spent a total of $162 ($135 + $18 for delivery+ tax) for a basket that was worth half that. When I contacted Kremps, they stated that this “substitution is common and should be expected simply because many flower varieties sell out through the holiday. Our designers will often add extra complimentary flowers due to the sub. We can assure you that what was delivered is the correct value.” It was not. Everyone I have shown the flowers to agrees that they are not even remotely close. Only one additional flower and a plant were added for the 5 plants subtracted. No one offered to compensate me for the difference or try to rectify the situation. This is the first and last time I will be using them. I feel like this is exploiting people who place orders out of state since there’s not much recourse for orders that are not up to reasonable expectations. I will be going directly through local flower shops next time. I’m sure the flower shop that this was outsourced to could have went to one of the many big box home improvement stores or garden centers to find what they needed if their supply was so low. Also, if they couldn’t find the appropriate flowers for over half of the assortment then there should have been efforts to communicate that to me or refund me. Protect yourselves friends and don’t get flower-fished like me.
*Edit to add (5/14) since I can’t respond to owners comment: I understand things aren’t always available, but what was substituted wasn’t comparable at all. Additionally, I did reach at out 3:24am this morning and asked you guys to rectify this. I have yet to hear back thus why I left this review. Obviously you read said email so you saw that I stated that. I’m still confused why you guys aren’t reaching out to me personally since I have called and emailed.
*Edit to add (5/16): VP of sales, Chad, contacted me on 5/14 and asked what I would like to do. I responded that I would like them to “deliver the flower arrangement I ordered, as depicted on your website, to my mother. If that can’t be achieved, I would like a refund.” Chad stated that, “If they can't fill correctly, we will get this refunded for you.“ and sent out a new arrangement promptly on 5/15. New arrangement received by my mother a couple hours later. Although arrangement was better than the first, it’s still not what was shown on website. Sent Chad picture of 2nd arrangement stating that it wasn’t what was shown on website and haven’t heard back. I don’t know if it’s just the flower shop they go through in Colorado or if this is pretty customary for out of state arrangements, but I wish I would have just gotten a refund....
