**Update 7/5/19: My experience continues to be as positive as described in my initial review. The club is clean, well staffed and continues to add new equipment. I can’t say enough good things about personal training and the difference it has and continues to make in my life. For the first time in my life, I’m capable of doing a pull up! For starters, I appreciate that the gym is available to me 24/7. I've always found the gym, including the bathrooms, to be clean and well maintained. Every member of the staff I have interacted with has been nothing but friendly, professional and eager to help.
Early on in my membership, Michael reached out to me to set up an appointment to check in and see how my membership was going. I wasn't quite sure what to expect and was a little apprehensive but Michael immediately put me at ease. He came across as being genuinely interested in my goals as well as what AF could do to help me reach them. We went over some personal training options as well as what other services there are and he patiently answered all of my questions and THERE WAS NO HARD SELL! Personally, I hate hard sale tactics and truly value when salespeople have more than one approach up their sleeve. Several weeks after I signed up for personal training, Michael called me to check in. The fact that I actually answered the call instead of sending it to voicemail along with 99% of my other calls, speaks to how helpful and supportive he is!
Chris is my personal trainer and I've been working with him since the start of the year. In the past, I worked with personal trainers at other gyms but never saw gains like I have here in the last five months. I am stronger, my muscles have become defined and, while weight loss was not a top goal for me, my pants are just about falling off of me and I am in uncharted territory when cinching my belt. Much more important to me is the increased energy I've had. I have multiple sclerosis so anything that helps me increase energy and lessen fatigue makes a huge impact on my life. I've also had marked improvements in managing my depression and anxiety since starting personal training. In the past, at other gyms, I never experienced the level of benefits I am now. Chris challenges me, pushes me to give my all but is flexible if I should need alterations due to my MS (i.e. tremors, balance issues, etc). However, I’m incredibly glad I decided to take part in their six-week transformation program. The challenge required me to lose 18 pounds in six weeks to qualify for a full refund—and not only did I meet that goal, I exceeded it by losing 22 pounds. Throughout the program, I found the workouts both enjoyable and effective. The trainers were exceptional, providing a comprehensive nutritional plan that included a calorie-based diet and a detailed shopping list. I primarily trained with Natalee, who was supportive, knowledgeable, and attentive to my physical limitations. She always offered modifications when needed but held me accountable, which made a huge difference. This challenge was the most committed I’ve ever been to a fitness goal. The entire training staff is encouraging, and the variety in workouts kept things engaging. After successfully completing the program, I reinvested my refunded challenge fee into continued training sessions twice a week. As someone who struggles with depression, this experience has been truly transformative. Read more5 star review for the Anytime Fitness in Oaks. I love this place! I highly recommend this gym to anyone who wants to work on their fitness goals (and overall health goals). I joined over 2 years ago, and I can't believe my transition and the results I have achieved over this timeframe. It's been a life changing experience and I am so grateful. In the beginning I was intimidated to go to the gym and hated exercising, I barely went to the gym one day a week. It took some time and discipline for me to find my rhythm, but now I am a regular at the gym and go almost every day. It would not have happened without the support of the excellent coaches here. There truly is a family vibe. The trainers really care and go above and beyond to help you reach your goals. I take team training classes as well as personal training sessions, and would recommend both. The classes are welcoming for all levels of fitness and it is a positive environment. The gym is clean, the classes are challenging with lots of variety in the exercises and modifications as needed. All the instructors are absolutely amazing and helpful; with a special shout out to my coach Jake who has been there with me since the beginning of my fitness journey and tailored my workouts to meet my individual needs and abilities, and consistently encouraged and cheered me on as I reached and exceeded new goals.
