I'm just going to just give a run down of our experience:
6:30, saturday, only 1 family sitting in the dining area, 5 people in front of us in line.
Wife orders white rice and reg chicken in a bowl to start, next I order brown rice and double reg chicken.
Bowls get passed down to next person. Person who gets the bowls next is still focused on last order and dumps shrimp in my wife's bowl. She stops them and says "I didn't order shrimp for my bowl." This one thing completely collapses the entire reality for the kitchen.
First person from 10 seconds ago looks at her and says "I'm sorry I guess I missed you." No. You just accidentally put shrimp in my bowl. "OH I'm sorry I'll make another, what did you get again?" White rice and reg chicken (previous wrong bowl is still on the line and being passed down. There's no communication at all even though everyone is standing 2 feet apart.) First person corrects the bowl but puts spicy sauce chicken in the bowl instead of reg for some reason??? Again she corrects him. He makes it right this time. (Now there are 2 wrong bowls that belong to nobody on the line)
As the wrong shrimp chicken bowl moves down because they haven't taken it off, they group it with the 5 people in front of us. They hand it to a kid who also goes "this isn't what I ordered." Now they send him behind us to make his order over again. (They more than likely are double ordering him at this point, because his correct order is still in the que.)
Meanwhile our 2 now correct bowls are passed to the veg and toppings. Since they are grouped as 2 for us, this is where I stop existing for some reason. They ask my wife what she would like, then take both bowls, and pass them down to the next person. I have to speak up so that they bring my bowl back and give me my toppings.
Then our bowls get passed to the final person. She asks if I ordered a salad? No. Double chicken bowl. My wife also clarifies her order. She then asks my wife if she would like anything else. She says "medium chips and queso". Cool. No problem. Then without addressing me, she takes our two bowls and moves them to the register. I again have to speak up to say I would also like chips and guac.
As she is putting together my chips and what I will find out later to be the brownest guac from top to bottom that I have ever seen in my life, the wrong white rice spicy sauce chicken bowl has made it's way through the gauntlet and out the other side. It now has more sauces on it for some reason? Don't know how if no one was ordering for it. As I'm contemplating what they thought they were actually making, the chips girl asks "Is this also yours?" Nah. It's not.
We pay and leave. As we look at the reciept in the car we notice they charged us for a spicy sauce chicken bowl.
If thats how the line handled our order, I can only imagine how they handle the...
Read moreI had been looking forward to trying QDOBA, and I’m happy to say the concept and flavors stood out. The food is creative, the ingredients are fresh, and the service was excellent. The staff behind the counter were kind, attentive, and clearly working hard to provide a smooth and welcoming experience. Their professionalism and warmth made a strong impression.
That said, I want to offer some honest feedback. I ordered a bowl, and unfortunately both the meat and rice were cold, which took away from the overall enjoyment of the meal. With such good ingredients, I was hoping for a hot, satisfying bite.
Additionally, while the employees were exceptional to keep up with the pace, I noticed several individuals, likely members of management or ownership, standing nearby, talking amongst themselves rather than offering support. From a leadership perspective, it’s always encouraging to see management actively involved and uplifting their team when freshly opened. A hands, on approach can make a big difference in morale and the overall atmosphere.
There was also a promotion offering a free drink for a five-star review. While I understand the marketing goal, I believe feedback should be given freely and sincerely, not under pressure or incentive.
Overall, I enjoyed my visit and do plan to return. I see a lot of potential in this location, and I hope this feedback is taken in the spirit of respect and encouragement, for a team that clearly cares...
Read moreI was very, very disappointed in the portion size. My chips were like $3.45 and it was a tiny little bag that barely had any chips in it. I recently went to another qdoba and I got a great serving of chips so I was very disappointed by the amount of chips I was getting and especially the cost of them. My bowl portion was also very small. It was filled less than half way. The reason I gave 2 Stars is because my food tasted amazing. I was just very very disappointed by the portion sizes. Also when I went to check out the girl told me my total was $55. I ordered 2 chicken bowls & a bag of chips. I was like how is it $55? Eventually she figured out the mistake but overall I wasn’t happy with the portion sizes and would shy away from going back again...
