I was here for a fitting on PXG clubs and it was great. I played in a charity golf event towards the end of summer, September to be exact, of 2023. There was a silent auction where I spent a couple hundred dollars on 2 TPI assessments. I honestly did not look at the certificates at all, relying on my previous experience at EKG. I put the two envelopes up on my fridge. Here is where I failed. I forgot about them and found them this week. I stopped in to EKG 02/08/25. I looked in the envelopes for the first time and saw that the certificates expired 12/23. That was three months after getting them. The gentleman behind the counter went to speak with the boss or owner to see if there was anything they could do. Promptly returned to tell me there was nothing they COULD do. I disagree. There is nothing they WOULD do. Simply honor the certificates or offer something in replacement, like some simulator time would have been acceptable. Why even put an expiration date on the certificates, especially 3 months. Well, there are other simulator places out there and they will get my business. Integrity means something to people. I had planned on using them to warm up for the 2024 season in the spring, but I did forget I had them. Who knows if they would have honored them then.
In response to the reply email, I am adding the following, which I emailed to Jason in response: Jason,
I have a few questions for you. First, was it you that originally made the decision when I was in the store to tell your employee to come and tell me that there was nothing you could do, or was that a manager?
Second, why in the world would you put an expiration date on three months after the event?
It appears to me that you only wanted to reach out after an honest negative review. I think that is supported by the not so subtle dig that the certificates were expired. A fact that I immediately stated to your employee and in my review.
I really don't want you to do anything. I left an honest review. If a manager or you had even taken a moment to come speak to me, I would have accepted something of a compromise.
I left the certificates there. I stand behind my review and will continue to share the story verbally with others. There are other simulator places in the metro, I will give my...
Read moreI've been a member at EKG for over a month now, and I will tell you this is a first class facility with very talented and personable people running it. I have struggled with an out-to-in swing path for years, and their head of instruction, Jim, has made some impactful adjustments to my swing to correct my path. What is great is the ability to see my progress on their simulators, which measure the swing path of every swing. When I started at EKG, I was consistently coming into the ball one to two degrees from the outside, which resulted in a lot of pulled shots. Now, I am able to strike the ball from an inside path and am consistently seeing one to two degrees in-to-out...sometimes even hitting three or four degrees from the inside, which just feels awesome. Mechanics is only part of what I have been working on with the EKG staff. Because of my historically poor mechanics, I have suffered for years with a stiff and painful right hip joint. Wyatt from EKG took me through a very thorough (82 point I believe) functional movement assessment and identified key weaknesses and imbalances in my core, shoulders, and hips that hinder my golf mobility and contribute to my hip pain. After working with Wyatt twice per week for the last few weeks, I already feel stronger and more mobile. More importantly, my hip feels better than it has in YEARS. It takes commitment on your part, but the guys at EKG are really positive and supportive, which has made it easier to get in there and go to work on my program each week. This place takes a wholistic approach to improving your game, and for what you pay I also think it is an incredible value. I've wasted money over the years on one off lessons and chiropractic care. You need a combination of good data, experienced instruction, and a solid fitness program to make lasting changes to your golf game. I'm becoming a believer in that. Give them a chance to help you out, and you will FEEL the difference in your swing, your body, and...
Read moreVisiting from out of town on Easter weekend. I went in for a quick round today, finished up and walked out thanking the gentleman at the front desk. Realized I forgot my AirPods case so went back in. On my way out, I again thanked the gentleman sitting upfront before he rudely asked “do you want to pay for the additional 25min you played?” To which I responded confused, letting him know I had been there just slightly past an hour. Maybe 10min if that. The gentleman went on by again stating “so you weren’t here at 11a?” Essentially accusing me of being there longer than I was. Again, I had to state what time I was there and the time frame. So I was charged for the 10 additional minutes I was there for the sim. Totally okay with paying if I went over, however the approach was unprofessional and very confrontational. Not sure if all patrons are treated this way, but I will not be returning nor recommending this location for...
