Last year went in after Christmas tree lighting and it was awesome. Loved all the old school money and jewelry they have and not to mention the silverware. So me and my sister decided to go check it out again this year after the tree lighting. So we went everything was fine then older guy in the back kept looking at me an my sister like we were some kind of thiefs. All we were doing is checking out the stuff. But the guy was just being so rude to me at one pointment I asked if I could check out the books and he gave me a snotty response and told me not to pass "the brown bag" but when a young white guy asked if he could check it he said oh yess most definitely go right ahead. The when I wanted to know more about some coins he told me not to talk to him about that because he couldn't multitask. And as we were close to the front he got out of his chair and stood right next to me making "small talk" with some girls and as I would take a step he would take one to. At first I was like okay just coincidence so I moved again and this time I did it on purpose to see if he would move and yes he did. I never ever have felt so uncomfortable so discriminating horrible experience. Don't think I will ever go...
Read moreI am very unimpressed with the professionalism of this establishment. I have bought coins, sold coins, and sold a baseball card to this place in the past. When I went in today, I showed the guy working there an expensive coin I wanted to sell. He began to look in some books and then looked on the computer to see what the coin was worth while he was doing that. I asked him if I could look at the coin book that he was looking at earlier ïżŒthat was sitting on the counter next to him. His reply was, âNoâ Then, a few seconds later, he said you donât trust me. Thatâs the only reason you would want to look at that book. I replied, âYouâre being very rude right now,â I stood up and started to walk out. While I was walking out, He brought up a baseball card. I sold him in the past and said I barely broke even on that baseball card like itâs my fault he overpaid me on it. I understand youâre in business to make money, but you donât have to be rude, and I donât see an issue in wanting to see the book youâre getting your prices from. Trust, but always verify. Thatâs how you avoid getting...
Read moreMy parents inherited various jewelry, coins, stamps, letters/mail, china - random things that we didnât have any knowledge about. I reached out to the Clipper Cargo team and Morgan got us scheduled for a material evaluation.
Ted and Morgan are very welcoming and passionate about providing great service, building genuine connections with clients, and incredibly knowledgeable. Between Ted and Morgan, they were able to explain every single item I brought with me. It was impressive! Morgan specialized in the coins and jewelry testing and Ted was quick to help with reviewing and teaching me the history of the vintage stamps, letters, unique china, and other random trinkets I brought in.
Thank you to the Clipper Cargo team for a history lesson and your passion in providing unique and customer-focused service! I feel valued, informed, and that I was paid beyond fairly for the materials I chose to sell. I look forward to...
