Yesterday me and my wife went to hobby lobby for a few items my wife needed for a potential project. One of the items was a electronic fountain I wanted to get to decorate a space for my mother passed away. So when we get home, my wife tells me that the fountain has something wrong with it and that I needed to return it. Next, I get the water fountain and drive back to Hobby Lobby with my youngest child. After I get there I'm waiting in line to trade the item, so when it's my turn in line I tell her that I wanted to trade out a new one. She then took the receipt and started to do something on the register. Next she tells me that the money went back on the card I used. I told her that, that's not what I wanted, and said that I wanted to trade for a new one. She said that there's nothing she can do now, I'll have to repurchase it again. I asked for a manager and the manager told me that she couldn't do anything as well. I explained that all I wanted was to decorate the area my mother's ashes were at. I explained that I wasn't able to attend the funeral because me and my family caught COVID before the funeral. She said that's she really sorry and that I would still have to repurchase it. With almost tears in my eyes thinking about my late mother while dealing with situation, I just told her that her workers need some better customer service training. I grabbed my youngest child and we then left. My daughter then asked me "Are you ok Daddy." as we were headed back to the van to go. I just sat in my car and watched some Justice League cartoons on Netflix with my 4 year old daughter before...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Valdosta store is always very neat and clean. In this particular trip I was buying stuff for a school project, or I should say trying to figure out what to buy. lol. A super nice employee who was putting up stock spoke and asked could she help me find anything. I told her I was trying to figure out what to buy for a 3rd Indian project. She immediately stopped what she was doing and started showing me some different options and explained the pros and cons of certain items. I saw her again before leaving the store and she asked me.if I found everything I needed. I told her yes, I was just trying to figure out the cheapest way to go because this project was getting crazy expensive. Once again she stopped what she was doing and showed me some options that were all on sale. I've never had a store employee anywhere be so helpful!! I never once asked her for help, she just cheerfully offered and was an excellent example of what great customer service is. I really wish I had gotten her name so I could let the.manager know what a great job she's doing. She's definitely a huge asset to this company. I did take one star away because the restroom needed some attention and there were quite a few broken Christmas items on the shelves...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI shop here often as I have an Etsy store. Usually it is just an in and out to grab what I need. On Friday the 18th, 2017, I needed help to find a color of yarn. The employee at the sewing desk was incredibly rude and had a terrible attitude. She did not ask me any questions and basically said that if it's not out in the aisle, they don't have it. I asked if she could help me look because maybe I just missed it, she stomped towards the yarn aisle and stopped and stared at me until I told her which aisle it was. She then scanned the shelves and said No. I have never been treated this rudely as a customer, but the real kicker was the manager's reaction when I explained to him what had happened. All he said was "I will talk to her" and that was it. I will NOT be recommending this store to anyone. They DO NOT care about their...
